  1. Reminds me of one jill I had that used to make a bee line for the fish pond during hot weather given half a chance. Running jump in for a quick swim and then clamper out looking pleased as punch.
  2. Sounds about right. He did the same thing last year, releasing a couple of DVDs at the Welsh with some advertising in the CMW before they appeared on his web site.

A couple of similar DVDs that show a bit of hunting and some cooking are Wild Game Field Care & Cooking DVD http://www.wildharvestvideos.com/wildgame.html Upland, Small Game & Waterfowl Field Care & Cooking DVD http://www.wildharvestvideos.com/upland.html
  4. I would wait for a free listing day on EBay and stick it on there. Worth somewhere between £50 and £100.
  5. At least 6 weeks before you can used a snipped hob.
  6. Will second that, plus any of the Landmark UK ones. Simon whitehead ones are ok. Any with Colin Hemmingway are very good. Woundn't waste your money on any of the Warrener ones. Debatable whether some are worth the price of a blank DVD. How I would rate the ones I have seen. Excellent well worth the money: A Few Ferrets More (Landmark Films) A Fistful Of Ferrets (Landmark Films) Ferreting To Long Nets With Colin Hemmingway Ferrets and Ferreting Down Under (Unique Productions) Long Netting 1 - Morning With Colin Hemmingway Long Netting 2 - Afternoon With Colin Hemmingway Pro
  7. Nothing beats real birds. The type of decoy makes little difference. Sometimes a single floater works better than a big pattern.
  8. Peas are some of the best shooting you can get. You will be able to shoot them for pigeons all the way through the summer from when the shoots first start to come through until about a week after they are harvested. Not everyone agrees with summer shooting but when it comes down to losing your permission if you don't turn out there isn't too much choice. The farmer will soon find someone else.
  9. My mate had one that won't turn off, so you are not alone.
  10. A couple you are missing that may only be available on video 1. Art Of Fox Calling 2. Rabbit Control
  11. Yes an 8ft collar will work with a 15ft box. As a quick guide you just half the depth reading. Wheel full on will be 8ft away. Wheel showing 8ft will be 4ft away from collar.
  12. No wander you are confused, I am by most of the replies and I know my stuff. The difference between a Mk1 15ft locator and a Mk1 8ft locator in laymans terms is purely the sticker on the wheel. If you use an 8ft collar with an 8ft sticker then its reads right. If you use a 15ft collar with an 15ft sticker then its reads right. If you use an 8ft collar with an 15ft sticker then you need to half the reading. If you use an 15ft collar with an 8ft sticker then you need to double the reading. If you use a Mk2 20ft collar or Mk3 16ft collar then the readings are all over the place. No
  13. I'll second this. If you ignore the Mk3M and Long Range Terrier collars then all Deben collars either take one or two of the larger 357 (AG13) type battery or the smaller 393 (AG9) type battery.
  14. Standard takes 357 type batteries, micro takes 393.
  15. Paint your pegs a bright colour, mine are yellow. Change the draw cord to either yellow or red, it makes a big difference.
  16. No need to double knot the 4z. Don't know about 8z.
  17. Seems as if there are a few timewasters from Ireland buying ferret finders at the moment and not paying. podge-2010 Wexford Ireland You could make a second chance offer on your original auction. The only way to avoid timewasters is to sell via Buy It Now and require immediate payment via Paypal.
  18. I agree. I have one that's only about 15" long and sits in the bottom of the net bag. Useful to prode around when you think you have missed the hole.
  19. 10z twisted nylon at around £1.50 each. Will last forever (20+ years). Spun nylon at around £2.50 each. Similar properties to hemp but will last much longer.
  20. I'll second or is it third this.
  21. If its a grey rectangular box then its a Mk 1 regardless of the sticker on the dial. If its Star Trek Phaser shape then its a Mk 2 or Mk 3. What its worth depends how quick you want to sell. Somewhere between £100 and £200.
  22. 2003 5 door lwb 2.7 diesel terrano 28 mpg 1997 3 door swb 2.4 petrol ford maverick 25 mpg swb was better off road than the lwb but not brilliant although this may be down to both having on road tyres. Did 55,000 miles in the maverick over ten years with no problems. 30,000 in the terrano.
  23. Depends how quick you want to sell them. Ferrets £5 each. 150 nets with pegs £75 to £300. Hemp nets are worth more than nylon. Personally I would split the nets in to 3 batches of 50. 3 Ferret collars and 1 finder between £120 and £250 assumming they are Mk1. Ferret cage will probably need to be collected so £10 to £25.

    windows 7

It can be downloaded from Microsoft if you have an MSDN subscription. From memory its somewhere between 3 and 4 gigabytes. As jt750 says you will need a license key to get it working which is the bit that costs money.
