  1. That was FeedEm a while back who did a 20Kg bag of JWL for £28.85 delivered. Back to full price now.
  2. I would rather pay £6.25 for the 394 ones from here or from the same guy on EBay http://shop.thewatchshopuk.com/10-x-394-high-quality-german-rayovac-batteries-sr936sw-255-p.asp
  3. Have had the same problem with a couple of Mk3M collars where I put brand new batteries in the collar and turn them off. A few hours later one of the batteries is flat. If the collar is left turned on then the batteries last as they should. Would love to know how to fix this.

    hi

The DVD has been available on Australian EBay for over 2 years. The guy won't post to the UK when I asked him. Full details are in the listing. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Rabbit-Heaven-Hunting-DVD-Ferreting-Rabbiting-Foxes-/290608418618?pt=AU_Hunting&hash=item43a99c8f3a
  5. Bilton Veterinary Centre in Rugby http://www.biltonvets.co.uk/ Ask for Clare she has been dealing with my ferrets for over 15 years. Can't remember the exact price but jill jabs are around £10.
  6. These are light weight rings which open up if you put too much pressure on them when making the net. Can't fault the seller, he is a good reliable guy.
  7. he actualy means the grey box,,, what most of us call a mk1,,,,,, however the mk1 box had about 5 upgrades , so there are grey mk1 boxes that when you take the cover off, say mk2 , mk3 ect. there is of course the new mk3 carrot shape,,, but a year or so befor its reelease there was a mk2 carrot shape,,,, but it was discontinued cos it was crap. hope thats not to confusing Cheers Tomo. So it's a mk2 version of the old grey mk1 box. More correct is it's an old grey mk1 box with a mk2 variant of the wheel.
  8. All the grey rectangular boxes are known as Mk1. There are 3 variants of the stickers for the wheels that confusingly are labeled Mk1, Mk2 or Mk3. Have never seen a Mk1 sticker myself. The depth the box reads to is determined by the collar. So an 8' box used with a 15' collar will still locate to 15'. You just double up the distance the sticker is telling. Basically the difference between an 8' and 15' box is the sticker on the wheel.
  9. Yes, if it's the original Mk3 non magnetic collar.
  10. The finder for the Mk3 and Mk3M collars are identical. All Mk3 finders that have the pin pointer also contain a magnet to turn the Mk3M collars on and off. In simple terms all Mk3 kit is interchangable regardless of being standard or magnetic.
  11. Leave a bowl of ferret food and dish of water near the hutch on the ground. Put some bedding in a box, if you are lucky he may be in there in the morning.
  12. All of them apart from a couple of the stictly ferreting ones.
  13. I have never tried it but when you have one good and one duff battery in a 15ft collar it only works to around 8ft. So my guess is 2 batteries in an 8ft will make it go twice the depth.
  14. You would have thought so as collars are far easier to make than the finders. Anyone know where I can buy the 4K7 potentiometer which is used as the on off switch and depth guage?
  15. There are a couple of pot resistors (blue trimmers) that you can fiddle with. It's a bit of trial and error.
  16. Where do you get the new Potentionmeter on off switches from?
  17. Personal preference, same as material and size of nets.
  18. Didn't look like he knew his stuff in this DVD but it is as few years old so maybe he has learnt since then. Just because you have done a lot of something doesn't mean you are any good.
  19. Always feed mine as normal before working.
  20. Just one of those unexplained things. Nothing to worry about if she's behaving normally. Had one jill ferret that would go completely bald every summer and lived to the age of 11.
  21. It may seem a dumb question to you but I would much rather someones asks than gets it wrong by not asking. You may get some stick but someone usually gives advice and we all started somewhere.
  22. Take a mate to do all the work. Don't get upset if you don't catch any.
  23. One ferret to every 10 to 30 holes. More depends on the area covered by the holes than the count of holes. Also depends on the calibre and sex of the ferrets and a fair bit of personal preference.
