  1. http://www.daf-petfood.co.uk/4-daf-frozen-dog-foods I get mine from here
  2. What type of collar are using to cause abscess, I have never heard of that happening? He must have it on too tight and the prongs are wearing holes in the dog's neck: seen it before when people didn't know what they were doing with shock collars They only need to be tight enough to make contact with the skin. Or, the dog was barking continuously despite the collar (those collars make some dogs bark incessantly: shock, bark, shock, bark: there was a stupid woman on here a few years ago who reckoned she'd had a dog screaming continuously for an hour with a shock collar on it :censored
  3. What type of collar are using to cause abscess, I have never heard of that happening?
  4. Agree with all this, seems a stupid idea to me! Why can't you just train your pups? If it was too much like hard work why didn't you just keep one pup back? Do you ever let any of the four of them run uncoupled? Where abouts in Canada? I am Canadian bit love in Scotland now.
  5. My lurcher weighs 22kg. He has démodé tic mange, he gets 1.3 mls in his food every day.
  6. Good on you for taking him on. He looks like one of my dogs collie/whip/grey
  7. Sorry to hear this Moll. My friends lurcher was hit by a car and had two collapsed lungs, just to let you know he has made a full recovery and is back out hunting. Hope Rude is up and about soon!
  8. I hope you get your answers soon, the vet bills do rise quickly! Did they actually put a needle into the joints to take a sample of the synovial fluid? That is the only way to find out if it is the autoimmune disease effecting the joints/
  9. Ask your vet to do joint taps. Something similar happened to one of my salukis, like you it came out of the blue. She was referred to a specialist and it turned out to be an autoimmune disease callled Imune mediated polyarthritis. Worth checking for.
  10. She is a beautiful pup, wish I was in the position! Good on you for taking her back, your pups are a real credit to you!
  11. I worked for 12 years in a cancer reaserch laboratory. i was made redundant the end of june because there is just not enough money to fund the work as there use to be. I am not saying cancer reaserch has stopped but more that it is harder to fund now because the charities are not getting as much in the way of donations to fund the work. Therefore less money allocated to grants.
  12. I have had a cat that had this operation after being involved in a RTA. The cat made a full recovery and you would never know anything happened, she is still as agile as ever I know a cat is smaller the a whippet but I think the op works very will for smaller lighter animals. good luck!
  13. Well done!! with good food and tlc sure he will come good.
  14. Like the pictures and I life your pups, what is there breeding?
  15. what does it matter?? I can't understand how an argument can start over a tattoo?? the guy likes it and that is all that matter if you don't like it then you don't need to comment!!
  16. I think the finished product looks great and it doesn't really matter if the 'househusband' doesn't like it!!!
  17. Charlie is a great dog and that is a great tribute!! I still need to get my tattoo of Dino, maybe need to visit.
  18. Pups looking goog, big and strong!
  19. my dog is on daily ivermectin now. The aludex works well but if you don't get it all(even if the dog looks well) it may come back but I don't know a lot about sarcoptic. I stopped treating my dog when he looked totally fine and went onto advantix spot on, but it came back so he is now on daily invermctin. Good luck with your dog!
  20. Yes I used it for demodectic mange. I took on a rescue saluki x that was in a mess 8mths ago. Had to take him to a skin specialist in the end. He said you have to use it weekly and not to stop using it until you get two negative scrapings. What type of mange is it? Sarcoptic mange is easier to treat.
  21. I'm so sorry I enjoyed reading how your two were comoing on
  22. He is a fine looking dog, a real credit to you Is the black saluki a full saluki? I have a black saluki but thought he must be a cross(recue) as I didn't think they came in that colour? He looks very much like your bitch. Nice looking bitch
