  1. Two Sloughi x lurcher litter mates. They are a year old. They are slow to mature and very sensitive. Not sure what these two would be like working? Trying to find out how their litter mates are doing.
  2. Really nice pups and parents, credit to you
  3. I know he didn't breed them he took them on and gave them a decent start these pups look really nice pups
  4. Nice pup, I wish I had room for another! One thing I know is a pup from Dale comes well handle and socialised if my pup from last summer is anything to go by
  5. Yup I can see it i could see there was something odd at that part of the picture right away took me a bit to see the dog. They never stop being loyal
  6. I didn't say dogs don't need to use force I said my top dog doesn't need to do it he has respect from the rest of the pack without using any force. I think that is the position we want to be in with our dogs. My saluki bitch doesn't use force but does shout at the younger dogs because she isn't in the same position as the male, one look from him and they are rolling on the belly licking his face. He usually just stands there ignoring them.
  7. I think a lot of dogs don't like dogs they don't know in their face when on lead. I think giving it a doing for not being comfortable with it won't do the dog any good, just supress its fear. As for scruffing not had the nead to do it. I watch my pack and the lead dog never has to tell the others off, one look and they do exactly what he 'says' all the other dogs think he is god no messing about. He doesn't have to 'scruff' or even growl one look and the others stand to attention. I agree a dog learns its place, consistancy, patience no need for brute force and ignorance. If it works for othe
  8. The dogs are looking amazing what a great place to walk and get away from the world How old is Meg now? She looks very well, it was years ago I met her so she must be a good age now, though doesn't look it
  9. I said I couldnt tell, is that his bed?.........maybe he lays on the floor.........who knows from that picture is what I am saying? it is his bed, he has quite clearly stated that !!! I only asked why he didn't take it the full length across the back and was told to go fly a kite !!! I'm not saying anymore on the subject as Skycat has spotted my weakness, apparently "I'm not OK so nobody else can be OK." If your'e in a bad place mentally or emotionally then you'll try and make everyone else suffer as well. so I'm off to see my shrink, to up my dose !!! i think yo
  10. Same here, very easy to keep
  11. I agree with everyone your dogs are sucure in your garden 100% their fault My black saluki would tell the dog to f@@koff, not sure how far he would go, all my other dogs would play with it
  12. thanks I did a search and I saw your thread, it was about making one? I don't want to make one I am lazy i just want to buy one already to go, searched for a very old post from someone who makes them but in now says removed
  13. I am looking to buy a lure machine, was wondering if anyone on here makes them to sell or knows of anyone? I know there was a post a while ago someone made and sold them but when I looked back it said "removed" so I take it he isn't making them anymore?
  14. Really sorry to read this hope you get this sorted and get the dog back
  15. Oh god that is so gutting, so sorry! I hope you find the f@@cker and do to them what they deserve
  16. Two really nice dogs, your pup looks a bit like my sloughi cross pup (just a different colour) They know the meaning of taking it easy
  17. why? and why cant a working dog be a pet,imo the working dog should be treated more like a pet than a non worker, after all your working dog be it a terrier or lurcher does everything you ask of it whatever the weather and whatever the obstacles in front of it,after all that you feed it an put it outside in its kennel, yet you'll quite happily let your pet dog(that does literally feck all for you)sleep in front of the fire very strange very well put my dog stays in I agree well put
  18. I have to say they really are cracking looking pups and all the best to them. I have to admit I thought the same why sell another pup to him when he sold the the last one at 6mths. I was really impressed with Sting and was hoping to hear up dates on his progress so was well shocked when he was sold on and gutted when I heard of his demise. I recall the reason for selling him was he cried in kennel when older dog was taken out and he was left on his own? I hope Hob-ferret has learned a very difficult lesson here at the cost of poor Stings life and good luck with your new Bitch she looks a cr
