as the instestinal tract is so small on a ferret the worms dont get a chance to grow to a size where you can see them BUT this doesnt mean that the ferret wont have them in the gut lining ... i have kept ferrets for over 30 years and i always worm them once a year just before the season starts with panacure kitten wormer and adjust slightly to suite the ferrets weight ..... by doing this and giving a healthy diet i have never had any problem with squity shats or any other problem with their guts ... and nearly all of my ferrets have lived over the 9 years of age mark and they are worked hard 3

if the dog is catching well and consistantly and then has a really bad day then there is obviously something phyically wrong with the dog ... whether it be muscle bone or internal ... if you cant find any sign of an injury she may have something simple like an upset gut that is making her feel under the weather and is sapping her energy .... give her a few days rest watch her closely and then try her again ..................

yep i told your old man all along that she was the pick of the litter ............ Their sister Sox aint no slouch either, she can jump a 4 ft fence now, did so a few weeks back (never jumped before) & promptly nailed a neighbours pet rabbit that was loose in their back garden a few doors away.... well done that pup lol ... showing good early promise then ............

total waste of time . a dog that is 110% will do the job where ever it is.i have loaned dogs an lent dogs out an they have never shyed away. my mate chicky had dog sent down from up north that he had seen run dozens of time ... now this bitch had accounted for thousands of head of all game ... the day before she had coursed a hare up on the moors that had taken her over 2 8 foot wallls and out of sight ... 4 minuets later the dog was jumping back over the last wall and delivered the hare into the lads hands ... his mates who were with him couldnt believe he was parting with the dog .... my c

tripe is 84% water the dog will fecking drown before it puts weight on with that and bones are good for calcium but not for protein and weight gain ... feed the dog 70% chicken for the protein and muscle building values and 30% fats so thge dog has enough energy to work with and not start burning up its own calories .... give the dog plenty of sprint work this works the fast twitch muscles and builds up muscle ... do you ever see a slightly built olympic sprinter ??? ..........

ever thought you are buying a living thinking feeling animal and not a machine ??? it takes some dogs up to 2 months to settle down into new surroundings and feel happy and confident to hunt to their full potential ... if you want a trial on a dog then you should travell to the sellers place and get him to take you out with the dog ... that way you get to see exactly what the dog can and cannot do ............

you did the correct thing the dog needed a reprimand after what it done ... the skulking was probably due to ignoring your re call rather than chasing the sheep ... the only way to stop this is as you say to walk her amongs sheep and severaly reprimand any interest even the cocking of an ear should be reprimanded ... she needs to know in no uncertain terms that sheep ar off limits ............ just to clarify when i say repremand i dont mean get amongst the dog with a big stick LOL ... a jerk on the lead and a loud NO will suffice .................

no food plenty of fluids get to a vet if the stools are dark red blood if its bright red blood could be a cut caused by a bone ... if in doubt get a vet to check ...........

well james's dad is a tough old goat and is a lot better this morning so james is on the way back up north and will be at the midland tomorrow laden with DVD's ..........

bad news i am afraid james will not be at the midland to sell the DVD's ... his father has been seriously ill in hospital for the last week and on the way to the midland tonight he got a call to say his father had taken a turn for the worse and the family are all around his bedside ... james sends his apologies ..............

my old man suffered a stroke last year ... couldnt speak right hand side paralised unable to see properly .... BUT he is a tough misserable old b*****d and 2 months later he was just about back to normal ... took a few more weeks for his writing to come back but by refusing to lay down feeling sorry for himself he got himself back on track .... tell your mate to dig deep and not get beaten ... the season has started and there are bunnys to catch so come on col up and at em ................
