    DO NOT put wet sheets over the hutch as it will heat up and cause warm steam/condensation inside the hutch frozen water bottles and a cage fan if you have a hutch will be fine ... A court or a mesh pen that's in the shade will be best in this weather ..........

    If you are genuine and this did happen you need to take the dead ferret to a vet to get a post mortem and get it documented you will need that in court to stand a chance .........
