They could have quite easily been out in America on a training exercise and during their r+r played a game of rugby rather than just gone out there on the tax payers money to play ... However even if that was the case so what they deserve the odd perk now and again .......

The army won't use green goddesses mate they will just commandeer your trucks as they did in the last strike as they are government owned vehicles .... As I said previously I know exactly where your coming from I was shafted with my pension its just there was nothing I could do about it ............. it should at least be on a par mate, but that ain't the fault of the firemen is it? Not saying it is mate just making a comparison ... I know exactly how the OP feels and the folk on here saying its a lifestyle thing are right and also wrong ... When people like the OP and myself joined the army fire service etc we knew what we were doing knew our pay and knew what our pension would be ... The problem he has is the government are now moving those goal posts just as they did with the army pension only difference is you can't go on strike in the army you have to swallow it ...
