Boiled Bones / Dogs Dinner.
socks replied to Squeamish5's topic in Living Off The Land & Game Cooking
Boiled or raw lamb ribs etc are absolutely fine for a dog ... My pup is four months old and has been eating them since she was able to break into them ....... -
The pup that went up north ... He was the biggest of the litter .....
-
Be spot on for walking on a carpet on the end of a bit of string ......

I see the counselling is working no mention of shiverery bug eyed useless freaks yet, It's only a puppy I like all pups .......
-
Just keep it for what it's good for ... Showing at the kennel club shows and keeping your lap warm ... Leave the working dog shows to working dogs ........
-
He was one of the biggest but wasn't the biggest ... The 2 white dog pups were bigger ...... Any feedback on rest of litter, yours and his seem very biddable. So far everybody is happy ... There are a few lads on here with them maybe they will answer for themselves ......

Lurchers For Hunting Hill......anyone??
socks replied to gwalchmai4110's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
A hound cross of some type would be the obvious obvious choice for this work ...... -
I can remember adverts in the shooting news 35 years ago stating the cross in each lurcher that was for sale in the adverts pages ... How can you decide on a pup if you have no idea what's in his make up ... I certainly wouldn't be picking a pup on its size alone .......
-
Some cracking pictures there ... I remember when Colin first got that little terrier .......
-
Run free run wild little Bob never look back ........

Until this information came out Wiggins had always maintained that he had never taken any steroids ... The steroid he took also reduces inflammation in worked muscles and aids recovery ... He took them immediately before major competitions ... He stated on the Andrew mar programme that they were because of his lifelong asthma which he had never mentioned before ... He also stated on the same programme that they gave him a level playing field with the other athletes so therefore they must enhance his performance ...........

Nice solid looking pup that .........

That's the plan ... He will be going into the wood a hundred yards up from my house ... Plenty of food sources for him there .....How far is that from where it was found??Its a fair old distance and we regularly fen trap the place so not the best place for a polecat ... The wood is full of rabbits pheasant and partridge ... He will do just fine ..... It'll be back where ye found it in no time. Tag it.. Over 30 miles away ...not a chance .....

It's to old to tame gnash ... At best you would get it to a stage where you could pick it up if it let you do it would be no good for working and would be destined to a life of being caged ... I would rather let it go in a safe wood that's got plenty of food for it .......

that there is a beaut ... bet it sure does hurt if that fecker takes hold the end your finger ..could it not be used to add new blood to a ferret strain or would the offspring be to wild to handle ??? I did it years ago and it wasn't until the fourth generation that they could be handeled and worked properly ......... what about if you cull the jill after a week then hand rear them.? If you culled the Jill after a week you would have a load of dead kits lol ... I handled them constantly from as soon as I could ... They are just wild aggressive animals and take the dilution of a few generati
