Asking when a dog is ready is like asking how long is a piece of string. They are all completely different and even litter mates will be ready to start at different ages. Dogs mature mentally And physically at different rates and there will never be a set time there will be youngsters that can a handle a few runs at 7 months for example then there will be others that won't be ready until their over 12 months. Watch how the dog moves and turns and runs when it's playing look at how physically capable it is and how mentally ready it is ... if your happy with all of these points give it a couple

I've bred multiple litters year in year out with up to four jills in the same ferret court with no problems .... I used to have a snipped hob that stayed in with the jills and would be like a foster dad with the kits ... it's all down to knowing your ferrets .......
