I’ve got a real small sharpening Steel but the blade has been tempered and hardened and it’s only used on skin so hardly ever needs sharpening .......

I had a couple of hours spare so knocked up this gut hook out of an old farriers file. I’m going to put an antler handle on it ... and finish off the blade when I get a chance this week .......

I shoot at least three nights a week and In my opinion a thermal is best for spotting and a night vision scope for shooting. At distance a collie and a fox can look very similar in a thermal scope but with a night vision scope you can clearly see what’s what.

Made this one for the fishing comp to be auctioned for the charity ... it’s a nice heavy tanto style chopping/camp knife with a cow horn and bog oak handle ..... this one is a breasting knife that a mate of mine asked me for with a cocobolo handle .....
