  1. I fitted an ox square section spring to a rws 52 and it was like shooting a pogo stick and it was hot even after a lot of trimming. I fitted their ultra premium kit with ptfe spring guides afterwards and it was a lot better and very consistent.
  2. Bloody hell just spotted a hw85k in the sales section!
  3. The 99 is awsome. Would love a 95 next. In fact I'd want one of each! The rare hw85k is a belter too - like a lighter hw80.
  4. Instead of trying to kill it just clean up the leaves and enjoy it and the wildlife it brings.
  5. Nice rez. It's a good feeling with the nights closing in and looking forwards to A change of the season. Gun is looking good too.
  6. What about a t20 or t67 torch and a few 18650 batteries in your pocket?
  7. Genuinely that was the same comparison I had in my mind! Been in both situations lol.
  8. What about the loft? Cabinate bolted to the masonry wall with a quick access ladder that pulls out of the loft hatch?
  9. If you decide to give up on it try find a mk1 hw80 mine was phenomenal.
  10. Nor can I flynndog . I have two, both of them WTC 4.5 - 14 X 40mm Super night view models, on my FAC HW80 and HW77 .22 spring rifles And they've lasted for years and years too. Simple 30/30 reticle and stays bang on zero all day. I shoot mine on 7Xmag and that keeps me fine all through the day to dusk or dawn low light shooting. For all that though, I have a couple of Hawk Panorama mildot scopes that really nice for my HW97K and have been the best and longest lasting of all the Hawk scopes I've had so far. I had a whitetail classic 3-10x50 on my excalibure and I think I only zeroed it
  11. Iv been wondering about there kits they sound a little bit disappointing by the sound of it. Would be great to hear how you get on with it!
  12. A nice whitetail classic would top the fwb off nicely!
  13. Ace mark. I managed to find an old pic an early hw80 I used to own that was very simelar to the fwb sport I used to own even down to the stock. It was a really nice shooting classic wish I never sold it!
  14. Save up and buy a hawke mil dot at the least or better. Shite scopes are enough to frustrate and put you off forever if your gun is right.
  15. Had both years ago In my teens. I'd go for the fwb miles better from what I can remember in every way.
  16. Combining fishing and shooting sounds perfect.
  17. Properly built gun had one briefly and reminded me of the very early hw80 mk1
  18. I been there too mac with fishing too. You work a lot of hours and on your time off you want to relax. Iv had them phone calls too they are enough to put you off going as been under pressure is like been at work again. I took a step back on the equipment I use and travel ultra light now when I want to go. For example ditching the fishing bivvy and Carp tackle and now I use a pop up tent with blow up bed and telescopic rods with bite alarms on banks sticks. I'm set up or packed up in 10 mins and makes it a lot more pleasurable. I ditched the pcp with big scopes with 7 litre dive bottle for a l
  19. Completely agree but keeping what guns you own to yourself and not sharing them on facebook especially when living in an urban environment in just been discreet and responsible. Iv heared stories of people falling out and guns been mentioned to cause the owners problems. I understand your view however personally I don't think we should have to hide what firearms we have. If people want to share pictures of them hunting medium to large game then it's obviously inferred that they have a full-bore rifle of a suitable caliber, I don't really see how people can hide that without hiding what they

  21. On one of the farms I can go on its got an old concrete shed that used to be used to guide returning planes back to the runway during ww2 in the dark. It has an engine room and a pair of doors at the end where a set of fold out lights uned to slide out of to guide them back. It's in the middle of a field and when laid out on the roof makes an ideal bunny shooting spot off the bipod you can cover the hedgerows on half of that field. It also gets the imagination going thinking about what action it saw.
  22. I enjoyed this and this thread reminded me of it as I mentioned a while ago, if I can find it again!?.... Edit found it.... Chipmunks sorry it was 5 years ago!
