Rspca Election Results Announced...........
ChrisJones replied to Blackbriar's topic in General Talk
I agree. Maybe if the uneditted truth hit the Internet people would sit up and pay attention. Everybody's mistakes get posted online why should they be exempt? -
Plastic is already doing that. Cheques are obsolete but take a good look at what we perceive as money. It's printed paper, and essentially worthless. It holds a symbolic value but it's actual worth is at the whim of the markets. That's just figures on a screen. Nothing. It's time to exchange some of the paper for something tangible. Something metal. Something that will retain it's value when the next great thing is inserting a NatWest microchip into the back of your hand. When the metal is worthless hope you've got something to eat growing in your yard. Two generations ago self suffici

Like I said you're entitled to believe in any mythology you wish. I'll leave the sacred nonsense to you lads! I'll stick with the truth! Anyway... ghosts...

Rspca Election Results Announced...........
ChrisJones replied to Blackbriar's topic in General Talk
Has anyone filmed their encounters with the RSPCA? Or planned on doing it on the next visit? A glut of encounters uploaded to YouTube might be worth the bother. -
I didn't and haven't said, ever, that there is no supernatural. I've repeated continually that I want hard evidence. Tangible facts that can stand up to scrutiny. Things that can be tested and repeated. I don't have any evidence for it, or against it, like I've been saying, over and over again. But that's the point. It's an as of yet unexplained phenomenon and I'm not going to jump to any conclusion as to what it may, or may not be, without a f**k ton of real, tangible, measurable, repeatable, occurrences that can't steer me towards an alternate hypothesis! I might be going out o

I do but unidentified flying objects are just that. Unidentified. Human perception is open to error so am I actually seeing what I think I'm seeing? We're hardwired to find the most ludicrous explanation for what could be the most simple cause. (Bullshitting phenomenon) If I've seen crazy lights in the sky I don't automatically jump to the conclusion that it's interstellar spiritual entities from another dimension when it could be something completely mundane like a satellite, or solar energy reacting with our atmosphere. Until we have something concrete I'm going to sit on a very

Laugh all you want but simply listing academics that have researched/experienced such phenomenon doesn't bolster either of our arguments. We can wax lyrical all we want about what causes this phenomenon but it still doesn't prove anything for either of us. I'm very open minded about it. The world is too vast not to be. The problem is proving it conclusively and when that happens I'm willing to accept either explanation.

Yeah! I've seen that footage too (interviews of the guys that were there), and the radio comms between them is indeed compelling. Thing is, is it a factual account? Or has it been deliberately released to divert attention from something else? Sure he is but is he right? I've read equally compelling reports from Jan Dirk Blom, Psychiatry Professor from the University of Groningen in Holland. Specifically his extensive research into sleep paralysis. It's an alternate hypothesis into similar conditions. Question is. Who's right? We just don't know at this stage. The jury is o

Any decent security system has to be multi faceted... Alert dogs, attack dogs, CCTV, alarms, perimeter fencing, motion sensors, patrols, shit even firearms and booby traps. Etc, etc. It's all about buying time until someone can show up to nullify the problem. Be that the police, home owner, private security, etc. The majority of crime is about opportunity. If the opportunity is behind a multi faceted system then the opportunist will move on to something else. Drugs certainly skew the perspective but if the risk/reward balance is weighted more heavily in the risk department the

I don't mind either way. The vastness of the world makes for an interesting discussion though!

Fair enough and I'm totally fine with any mythology you wish to subscribe, or not, to. Without any kind of testable information I simply cannot accept it as factual. It's simply mythology at this point in the debate. I'm not saying you didn't experience what you say you did. Again, I wasn't there. I don't know what you know. But that's the point. I want to know. I can't stomach belief. I can't accept faith. I'm geared towards overwhelming amounts of factual information. I can accept that I don't know it all. I can accept that we, as a species, don't have all the answers. I'm open t

I meant more about the ouija boards, ghosts, ufos, paranormal stuff being relayed on this thread. Like I said earlier, with the fact that most people in the known world have a digital device capable of taking thousands of hi resolution pictures, and videos, I would expect to see more evidence of ghosts, ghouls, bigfoot, etc but what we're actually seeing is less credible evidence and tons more fakery. I don't dispute you experienced what you say you experienced. I can't. I wasn't there. But I can't believe what you say you experienced without some kind of evidence, other than anecd

Afternoon, mate! Any evidence for this?

Yes. It was absolutely non demonic in anyway whatsover. It opened a portal to boredom. In fact it's mere mention, now cause fear and dread. Fear and dread of a party turning into a complete and utter failure. They sell them here in the kids toy aisles. If you want to know what makes a ouija board "work" have a look at ideomotor phenomenon. If ouija boards were truly the pathway to darkside, then most of the 1st world would now be possessed by demons. As there is no evidence for this, outside of Hollywood, we can conclude that 1) it's complete bullshit, or 2) that the world is in

Actually a lot of a dick. Like yourself.

Try digging them out of railway embankments in July... Takes you 20 minutes to get to it. Overalling up for 10 mins? I'd rather take the sting and keep moving.
-
True but heatstroke is a serious risk.
-
That's the beauty of genetics. Thicko parents doesn't necessarily equal thicko kids. Social and academic conditioning plays a huge part too.

I've noticed pyrethrins tend to agitate the target... I've used aerosols as a flushing agent too. Very handy against bed bugs when you're not sure whether you're getting them all. Pissing off wasps was part of the job... If they're covered in white they won't last a shite! Suit up and carry plenty of water with you. I've had a few mild stings through my suit and it's not good when I've been digging nests out of the ground.

Ghost stories it is.

Give the Environment Agency a bell. If you're only disposing of a can here, and there, they might be able to point you in the right direction.
-
I used it extensively... Good gear

Is this tied in with China's one child policy? The one that's only strictly enforced with their wealthy, and completely overlooked among the rural countryside? Can you define the conditions for stable and less emotional?
-
Agreed because it's a massive tangent but how would you even do it on a city wide scale? Nevermind national! You're assuming that 70M+ people would agree to relinquish their own personal freedoms based on a deeply flawed program that couldn't even begin to decide on what constitutes the best way. It may have been done when the global population was a fraction of it's size, and we had no way of communicating between neighbouring villages, never mind that now we have the ability to travel to any point on the globe in around a day. The cat is out of the bag, so to speak, you couldn't even beg

Drop a golf ball in it and give a good shake up. Try not to use too much dust because it does tend to fill up. If you use cables, to attach rat boxes, try running one through your wand... Like a pull through.
