  1. Since this forums been quiet lately I threw a little quiz together for the working terrier nerds out there for some amusement. I'll buy a couple of pints for the first person to get all the questions correct if or when I see them, LOL. 1. What year was the Fell and Moorland Working Terrier club founded ? 2. Who wrote THE TERRIER SONG ? 3. Who owned the famous Wheaten terrier "Peter Sinead" that won dog of the year 3 times in the 1970s in Ireland ? 4. What was the name of the terrier Bert Gripton used to bolt the last Otter legally accounted for by hounds in England ? 5. Ca
  2. Who did they say they were doing the stealing for ?
  3. Apparently , someone recently seen a Dodo. I'd have my doubts about the other one though. Maybe I'm wrong.
  4. I though Mary Jane meant cocaine. So why does it mean dope ?
  5. It depends. if you're one of those folks who keeps ahead of bills then maybe not. But, as someone mentioned if you're using a meter then it's easy to see what your using day to day. OR, if you're like me who's useless with money then it's nice to have the bill paid up front. If your contract is nearly up then don't wait. Ring the opposition now and ask them how much they'll give you to join. Then ring your current supplier and tell them. Get the ball rolling. Push push push.
  6. I was with a pre pay company for two years and decided to switch to another pre pay company. That week the company I was with rang me and offered me 70 euro free credit to stay with them. So I rang the new company and told them. They were already giving me 10 euro free credit and said they'd up it to 90. I rang the first company and told them and they said 160 was their final offer. I stayed with the new company and took the 90 free credit as I reckon they're cheaper every week (my electric is less than 20 euro a week) and I had taken out a 12 month contract anyways. I rand the first comp
  7. A built up area Con. Have you been around your neighbours to see if they seen anything ?
  8. Nothing like some action to warm you up in that cold weather.
  9. I've always thought 3 masks of the 3 traditional quarry together would be nice. But in this day and age 3 skulls might be more realistic.
  10. Shooting with a side-by-side AT ? LA-DE-DA. LOL.
  11. To know 100% FD if that's spraint or not you have to taste it to see if it's fishy tasting. Did you do that ? LOL. Have you had much rain lately ? Rivers in spate will often make them move cross country from stream to stream. Well spotted.
  12. I like that sort of thing too and if I do put a fox skull on a small plaque it will be going on one of the walls in the house that are already covered in prints, photos or masks etc. But, if you go on to You Tube etc. looking for examples all you get are people with their faces tattooed, rings in their noses and lips and luminous coloured hair who collect oddities. Hence the reason I'm wondering would it be a bit morbid. LOL. Deer trophies are different because it's all about the antlers. You never see anyone putting a hind or does skull on a plaque. The jury is still out on whether I'll d
  13. Can the kennels or runs be seen from the road or do they be walked in public ? If not, there's a good chance the scum have been on his yard before, so have a long hard think as to who might have seen them. Trust no one.
  14. Yes, keep us updated. I haven't given a like yet because so far it's all very commercial. When the real thing starts to appear I'll give a like, LOL.
  15. It's on the wall and looks good. They are white from exposure to the elements. It's not to unlike that one in your pic.
  16. It does if you're under 7. It's what we give our kids.
  17. Well I painted the antlers in the tea / coffee mix, the skull is bleached white and I put them on a mahogany plaque and it looks well. Lets just see if the colour stands the test of time ? I have an 18 point Red Deer head I'm tempted to do but it's not a very even head and it's bit big for the house. I have a full fox skull from a dog fox that took some fowl on me. I bolted him and dropped him at nearly 70 yards with a no.4 and the skull is perfect. I have nice plaque for it but I'm wondering would it be a little morbid for in the house. I have masks done but can't ever remember seeing
  18. He's a beauty and in great shape too, fair play.
  19. Don't know if I've any phobias but one word I f***ing hate is Homophobia. There's a big difference in being afraid of something and just hate listening to them.
  20. Mine will but it comes out looking like it went in, carrots are the same. If fact a lot of greens and veg just go straight through a dog so I can't see how they're of benefit ,hence the reason most herbivores have several stomachs or carry out refection. Kibble is the same. How is it if you feed a cup of kibble you pick up the equivalent in crap ?????????? That doesn't make sense. Whereas if you fed beef to a dog 'till it's belly is full you just pick up a small amount of crap the next morning. You don't have to be a canine nutritionist to see what I'm getting at. If kibble and flesh ha
  21. So the best bred terrier quit because it's fed good food and the old bitch stayed in two easy places stayed because she's fed shite ?
  22. Mary, that is a very strange one IMO.Does his dog have a normal crap the next morning ? I'd have to spend an entire day with a successful greyhound trainer without taking my eye off him for a second if that's the way he said he feeds. There is no way at all that any animal has taken all the goodness out of it's food within a half an hour. Neil I don't know about the rest of the dogs diet, but this is what he did with the boiled chicken the day I was there, I seen it with my own eyes. I would think the same as you, take a long time for food, especially meat to break down and be digested, bu
  23. That's right, dogs aren't poultry. I just mentioned that I give it to my fowl as well. But, I do give my dogs garlic and have done for years. It's great for worms and parasites. Like I said, I know it thins the blood and that mightn't be a good thing in hard terriers or running dogs but it's definitely something I'd recommend to give dogs in the off season when fleas etc. are more common.
  24. Ahhh, Chris Packham. He loves nature........................despite what it did to him.
