  1. Strong looking pup good luck with her ?
  2. Last dog was about 4 month old I think, one before that 9 or 10 months...too young to write off and move on imo, but everyone has different ideas.
  3. I've personally never seen a puppy 'jack', and if I did I would be questioning why the hell a young pup is in a position to be 'jacking' anyway...
  4. Blacky he's a stunner ? pup looks a cracker too. Lovely dogs
  5. Nice dogs, ideation what's the breeding on the little black dog? He's a cracker?
  6. I'll give 15 shillings and a big hug.
  7. Really? Very suprised nobody has bitten your hand off for this pup. Bit too heavy duty for me but a stunning pup for the right owner...?
  8. Took a fella out once, quick shine of the lamp and a big pair of eyes appear by the hedgerow...I'm thinking we are on here, whisper to the fella 'shhh I'll try call him in', next thing I know the bloke starts making clicking noises and whistling as if calling a dog. I laughed so much forgot all about the lamping!
  9. Personally I'm not a fan of breeding, I have never had a litter simply because the only time I would consider breeding is if I had an outstanding bitch that had shown her worth over many many seasons and a stud ready to line her which had done the same for me...as it happens I have yet to have two such dogs and so the hassle of breeding my own far outweighs what I could get out of it. Find a litter you like and get a young pup to bring on.
  10. Interesting opinion that blitz and in a way I can see the logic. However it could be said that a dg that is more accepted into the family environment would be more willing to graft for the owner...I've never been a fan of the treat them mean keep them keen approach but as I've said maybe I'm too soft??haha
  11. Haha I didn't want to say anything but I half expected to see Ron Jeremy popping out from behind a bush butt naked with that music...great footage though. ?
  12. They certainly do haha the mrs goes mad I wash mine all the bloody rime nowI understand youre situation with being in flat cant be helped , working dogs should be outside in kennel unless there pets lol Nothing better after a long cold day on the hills than putting the fire on and enjoying a beer or 10, with the dogs sprawled out by my feet....maybe I'm just soft.
  13. Quick bucket of warm water and a good brush will sort out the smells snappeer. Or a nice spray of Brut ??
  14. If I'm home the dogs in the house with me, if I'm out or in bed dogs in kennel. Personally I think it's good to have the dog around as much as possible. If nothing else I enjoy being around dogs as much as I can.
  15. Great feeling when all the hard work and patience pays off. Well done mate, onwards and upwards from now!?
  16. That dog looks like he means buisness...hard to lose young fit dog like that...all the best mate.
  17. A few topics/discussions on this site recently have got me thinking, both about my own dogs and lurchers/working dogs in general. The conclusion I have come too is that everyone wants something different from their dogs, you may agree or disagree with what that person thinks and does but that's their choice. My question is this, what is the minimum standard you would accept of your dog as a working animal? If you raise your own what attributes would you want to see when the dog is fully mature so that you would be happy to call that dog a worker? I'm not wanting anyone to post about illega
  18. No know it all here...this is an open forum, it relies on people posting their opinions...that's mine. Everyone is different and that's their right! You lurcherlad and everyone else may disagree and think that I am the idiot but hey ho i won't lose any sleep over that, in the same way im sure lurcherlad Wont lose any sleep about my opinion of him ?
