  1. Lovely little dogs those teagles. How would a single dog work alongside a lurcher? How far do they range? What’s the recall like, are they controllable or do they bugger off miles if a scent? I been thinking a cocker or Springer to bush rabbits with the lurcher. How would a teagle differ to a spaniel? What would be the pros and cons basically? sorry for all the questions just genuinely interested.
  2. I'm looking to add a busher to my little team this summer. Not overly fussed on sex, breed, age or much else. It will need to be fairly small as nearly all its work will be in large gorse/bramble patches and will be used for hopefully flushing rabbits for my whippet x. I'm not fussed on my dogs ranging too far from me so I'm guessing any hound type wouldnt be suitable. It will be a 100% outside dog so ideally something quite and hassle free in the kennel. Any suggestions or litters coming up that might suit me?
  3. Sully that's a solid looking pup. Sure he will take plenty of graft as an adult!
  4. Cheers mate, she was quite cobby and heavy as a pup but as she's grown she's gne more to the whippet.
  5. Couple of mine, one at around 12 weeks and one at 11 months
  6. Did you get one of brenner's pups? If so they looked crackers.
  7. Cracking pups. Have liked the look of these from the first time you posted about the breeding. These will be perfect for knocking about on wasteland/small fields for all types of pests!
  8. I'm looking for a pair of Jill kits. I know it's a bit early in the year yet but if anyone has any going spare anytime soon give me a pm. I live in Wales but a bit of travelling wouldnt bother me.
  9. Should be useful little dogs. For the right type of land the bull x whippet can be perfect imo. Cracking little dogs. I've been really happy and impressed with mine so far.
  10. Great pictures. I'm seriously considering adding a little terrier or cross to my team ready for next year...something like that little bitch would be ideal?
  11. Got the pup out early for a good walk over the hills and through some forestry blocks. Really happy with how the pup constantly had her nose to the ground in and out of cover. She flushed a couple of rabbits within the first hour from the fern and narrowly missed the one which disapeared back into cover. As I was walking along the path up a small valley which is bordered on both sides by open fields, she popped over the fence and had her nose down, thinking she was on to something I got my phone out ready to take a picture. As I did a hare trotted straight passed me probably less then 10 met
  12. My 11month old bitch pup has just finished her first season. Since then she has dropped a little weight and gone off her food. I've also noticed small swellings behind two of her nipples. Other than the issue with food she seems pretty much fine. Any ideas best way to get her back eating, and what the swelling could be? I've tried all types of different foods, chicken, beef, tripe the lot. All she will eat is dried biscuit at the moment? Anyone had this before?
  13. My hopeful for next season nearly11months 21in. Done little bits so far this year but had couple of little knocks so holding back now until next season
  14. She's just a shade under 21. Been that since around 7 months. Had a couple of bits but keeps picking up little injuries so holding her back until next year now...well trying too anyway !
  15. They looking the buisness wezza. Mine coming on great. 100 mile an hour everywhere she goes, my heart in my mouth when she's crashing through cover. Here a recent pic. Not sure what's going on with her ears...seem to fold over when she alert!lol
  16. Like the bottom dog, looks similar to my pup
  17. She's 1/3 bull x rest whippet. Not sure what's going on with her ears in that picture...
  18. Thought I'd post couple of pics of my pup. 9 month old 21tts. Shaping up nicely.?
  19. Good luck matey, should be handy little dogs ?
  20. Same breeding as wezza's matey, works out about 1/3 bull rest whippet?
  21. My bull whippet bitch, very keen. Hope she will make the grade next year ?
  22. Imo the patterdale has bucket loads to offer as a lurcher x, arguably as much or possibly more than a bulldog. However that has not been neither proven or disproven yet. The one major drawback I can see is that patterdale crossed with say a greyhound is likely to throw a much more uneven litter, in terms of size, build etc than for example a bull x or beddy or even a Wheaton which seem to throw faurly true to type, even on first x. I think the attitude and mindset would be there just maybe the confirmation side, ie height, build etc may take some refining...
