  1. You'll get dogs who work differently you might get a defensive dog thats going to hold out on the ear and frustrate the other dog....you'll get the barnstormers that are just going to find their way to the chest or neck....you might get a stifle dog who works out that the other dog doesnt have the reach to pull him off...y...or yes you might just have a low ability dog who cant fight but still wants to win thats the beauty of gameness.....you'll get all types but you cant make a dog fight in any other way than what he knows theres no sparring....every contact a dog has takes out of him so you'
  2. No Mchull wormed and flead should be second nature all year round regardless, nobody should start any form of exercise with an unhealthy dog.....im talking about preparing a dog for hard work i used to pre keep a dog on a very low fat diet maybe cooked chicken, chicken broth, small cup of all bran, sometimes a couple cloves of chopped garlic...some folk used to say raw garlic was slightly toxic and was too hard on the dogs stomach lining but i found if you cooked it there was no problem and it was a natural anti inflammatory. Getting rid of what we called the gut fat was essential to do befor
  3. Forgive my ignorance Ken but is that actually classed as a Vivarium ?.....i know you have your background picture and im not entirely understanding what a diorama is but i just wondered if you had seen these resin 3d backgrounds you can get now some of them are really effective, great for a natural look to any aquarium/vivarium type thing.

Imagine being so bitter and poisonous that you could actually find fault in that whole day yesterday....unbelievable. The more i see of that William lad i like him i think he'll make a great chief if its all still about when his time comes.
  5. ? You gotta love people like that..... " heres a question i already know the answer to but unless i get a different answer im going to play victim " !! Or is this where we have to pretend all races are the same ?....in which case until i see special police forces set up in an African Carribean nations to specifically tackle white gun crime then no,im going to fully accept and acknowledge races are not the same ! Trident was set up 25 odd years ago to acknowledge racial differences....thats why it was so unpopular.
  6. Nice read that was i couldnt " like " it for some reason....i think the pit bulls were addictive a lot of young lads of our generation had a healthy respect for their physical prowess and that was good enough for most i just happened to be one of them " in for a penny in for a pound types " ? I wasnt raised around dogs it was something i fell into in my late teens through having a few dubious associates a little bit older and wiser than me at the time....but from the minute i saw the dogs in action and spent time around them i was hooked and was like a sponge in my learning in every area

Stone me sorry to hear that mate...stick in there ?
  8. I was clearing the garage out a while back and came across 3 black bin liners full of Journals and stuff i forgot i even had ! Back in the 80's/90's virtually as soon as your match was over you would send a match report in to the SDJ it was a Yank mag but internationally it was pretty much the only way you could see how other dogs and kennels from foreign countries were doing...........at the time you had to be vouched for so it was reliable but towards the end anyone could get it and you ended up having match reports sent in that had never even happened !

Very powerful display of class and dignity i thought....yanks must be sitting there saying " f**k me they know how to do things over there "....Britain and London came to the front and showed the world our pride, passion and power....just a shame tomorrow it'll be back to stabbings, shootings and showing how feeble we are again ! Watched most of it on telly and a few lumpy throat moments one that really caught me was outside Westminster Abbey,it was silent then the tv guy just referred to her as " this gentle christian soul ".....it really got me it was like he was describing a nice old lad
  10. Just to be clear mate im not talking about loose line breeding which is what i think you are suggesting......im talking about a complete outcross of 2 inbred families of dogs....as in the sire will have no shared genetic heritage with the dam whatsoever but they are inbred dogs of their respective lines......i think within gamedogs anyway it can create a complete explosion of the genes.
  11. Are Bristol Rovers relevant to The Premiership ?.....no they are relevant to the First Division.....im done you crack on Mr Mayfield.
  12. It has its place mate.....as the descendants of that dog and other areas of his family who were even more inbred are testament to ?.....again though,runners...i have no idea or opinion.
  13. Until recently id never owned or had part ownership of a Staffordshire Bull Terrier in my life i know very little about the breed and thought it might be nice to look at that museum.......but whatever you say keyboard coward.
  14. Not a bad looker for an inbred dog was he ?.....he was 20" odd at the shoulder and mid to high 40's as i recall....produced some good dogs and got his Register of Merit title so the tool of inbreeding is proven ?
  15. He was a Limey bred dog but East End's owned.
  16. What the f**k are you babbling on about you f****n lunch !....you posted the names of 100 odd Staffordshire Bull Terriers......what was the relevance ?........whats wrong aint you getting enough attention you f****n pilchard.
  17. Naturally you're going to want a competition dog with plenty of hybrid vigour so you dont want them too tight but to fall on a great dog from outcrossed scatterbred dogs you're going to have to raise and school more dogs than we can keep in this country so for me the best and most consistent performing dogs usually came from the outcrossing of 2 inbred families of dogs.....only my opinion like.
  18. The theory doesnt always work though ive got more than a few scars to prove it ?...had to have microsurgery to save the use of my thumb down to a son of this evil orange eyed c**t !!
  19. In my opinion mate most people aggressive dogs have something missing its just a matter of finding out what it is before you invest time in them....some people believe human aggressive bulldogs to be a sign of being a cur....hence,many of them get ruined before their career is even started by an owner who nearly rolls the life out of the dog just to make sure he's going to be worth the risk !.....so yes.....in my opinion a manny dog who survives his game test is more often than not a special dog.....but only for that reason, nothing to do with fearlessness/aggression/madness or any of that crap
  20. Even back in the 80's there were plenty of 5 figure bets even between one man band types, the match in Holland between 2 of the best bitches in Europe in around 96/97 was 2 single owners for 50k a side.....obviously where you have a " team/kennels " it will go up to 6 figures all chopped up between them, but you'll usually find the best matches are between your average 2 lads matching for the price of a keep....its a far more honest match between genuine sportsman with a simple love of dogs and the sport.
  21. Hello mate like i said before my theory was that it wasnt good to keep a bulldog too fit all year round so for the majority of the year a simple maintenance type kibble.....as long as the dog was clean inside and out, healthy etc you didnt want a dog too fit with no match date to aim at....but as soon as you did have a match date the work began and your pre keep started with a change over to raw and the leanest cuts of meat to start off with so lean and organ meats for the protein but protein requires energy for the dog to digest and assimilate/make energy which is where fueling with fats and t
  22. They were few and far between on the whole mate, most of them you could get around with some basic patience and kindness....the black dog i posted a picture of earlier in the thread was an absolute gentleman but the line he was from were notorious for being hard on people he had a littermate who was diabolical the first few weeks i had him he just couldnt be touched by anyone except his owner he would hit the end of his chain and it was clear he wanted to do you.....but put in a pen and sat next to him for hours on end talking to him, touching him through the mesh and generally showing him love
  23. They are all Staffordshire Bull Terriers, every single one of them..............this is a topic about APBT's.
  24. Like i said mate if it works for you then stick with it ? Drying out is considered a thing of the past it was done to raise the red blood cell count/haemoglobin....when the body pulls away from water and starts to dehydrate, the blood concentrates meaning more haemoglobin go's through to the lungs to cool off and back through the body to cool it down and stop the dog overheating.....in todays times with more knowledge etc its about water " management "....so during the tapering down at the end of a keep the dog will drink less and less some days he doesnt drink at all thats how you know he
  25. They will be in amazing condition for the task set mate yes and every respect to lads such as yourself in getting them there......but its just not realistic to compare that to a peaked out bulldog who even if he came out of his match relatively unscathed will be lucky to be able to break out into a trot for a few days the expenditure of everything you built up over the last 2/3 months is gone.....a running dog is " kept " at a high level of fitness....a bulldog cannot be " kept " for anymore than a few hours at the level of fitness he is matched at,on weight alone.....a dog weighed in at 40 lb
