  1. Way above 70K and there is the C&B package, covers money towards rent/healthcare etc You are right though Switzerland can be expensive but the lack of taxes and the availability of good paying jobs (take the wife, she get's a shitty job earning 50k ) that's you and yours sorted if you're prudent Edited to add this is not in Geneva or Zurich so the cost of living is much less, 70chf would be more like 50-55k Yep im sure your right i didnt look too deep into it to be honest.......i remember someone telling me a basic checkout girl in a supermarket will get the equivalent
  2. While i wouldnt consider myself a " born again " football nut as ive always been a football nut......i can totally see what you mean ive noticed it as well ....first season syndrome i reckon Then again i suppose the easy thing would be to just not click on anything football related.
  3. Personally i find 99% of them repulsive i dont think any single breed of dog has changed more in such a short space of time.... today most of them are bordering on being a " toy breed " not a " terrier breed "......i guess its each to their own and naturally folk will be happy with what they have if they have nothing to compare to but if you remember the breed from years ago and have an ounce of honesty you couldnt fail to be dissapointed in the majority of specimens today, physically and mentally.......just my opinion like.
  4. Its worth keeping in mind the cost of living in Switzerland compared to here.....property for example is ridiculous.....i looked at flats just outside Zurich a few years ago rentals were fetching 4000 francs p/month works out around 350 quid p/week just basic 2 bed flats its a very expensive place to live so while 70k sounds good dollar its probably the equivalent to staying here and earning 40k !
  5. Im no fan of Mourinho but he,s absolutely right.....its anti football !......At the end of the day sport is about competition......when 11 pub league players can get a draw with 11 of the finest players in the world something has to be wrong surely ?.....Football,boxing,rugby....its hard to beat somebody who is not trying to beat you. Besides which,do fans not deserve more......we took a good crowd last night and near everyone i spoke to had the same attitude....." id rather get relegated than watch this shit every week ".......the difficult proposition we have now is do we hope to stay up (
  6. .......Probably wouldnt give you the time of day in this life never mind the next life !
  7. It couldn't have been drawn better for me with a winnable game and top teams playing each other, yes pal meeting United would be great be even better if we knocked them out in the semis again. 150/1 Wednesday !!.....Gotta be worth a cheeky little tenner aint it ?
  8. Heard that earlier what a load of ol bollocks eh !! Not sure now......i mean its only Sunderland aint it
  9. Bet you Sheffield lads are all fired up at a chance of a derby quarter......semi......or dare i say it.......final !! .......Hope yous go through anyway good chance of a smaller club picking the trophy up this year with te big 4 all meeting each other next.
  10. If it go,s to purse bids Groves will be in a good position....a far better position than he would of been if he had accepted Hearns offer......if he wasnt confident of beating Froch he would of taken the offer but he has taken a confident stance..... Mik if that bet was to me i normally never refuse a bet especially for charity but ive been bitten once too many times betting with folk on here
  11. This " offer " was only put to Groves because Hearn/Froch knew the Ibf were about to demand a rematch....which they did 2 days later..... A.To get their clauses and conditions in. B.To make it look like Froch is pursuing Groves.........But Groves was a step ahead !........ One of the clauses was an immediate rematch if Froch lost.....another was that Groves is tied in to Hearn for his next 3 fights.........The 1 mill offer was simply because they knew Groves wouldnt accept those conditions and it would look like his bluff had been called...........Groves is carrying himself with confidence
  12. While its clearly not a nice thing to do we have to accept that not every country has the same value on animal life as we do......." id break her back with a sledghammer " ...." stone her to death " bla bla bla.......people in many countries would do that for a crime against a human,we wouldnt......who is right us or them ?
  13. Following the club closest to where you grow up shows an affinity to the area and regardless what you do or what you make of yourself in life that should never leave you in my opinion. Ive noticed over the years following England at different tournaments you get in chats with different lads from different areas as soon as you hear a northerner say he,s a Chelsea fan or a cockney say he,s a Utd fan they are just not taken seriously.......not by me i,ll talk to anyone about footie but it is a subconscious thing ive noticed with people over the years.
  14. I completely understand that......when we was kids and you asked another lad who he supported he wouldnt say West Ham he would say The Avenue or Leyton some little local non league team......it was just taken for granted he was a West Ham fan that never even came into it..... we would go over the Avenue as kids until the ol bill started letting us bunk over the wall into the Boleyn at half time thats when you became a man
  15. I dont know whether its an area thing or a generation thing......when we was young if you was off the estates or schools local to West Ham and you didnt support West Ham youd get the shit kicked out of you ....same as Millwall or Spurs.......maybe its different in rural places where theres not clubs all on top of each you can take your pick who you follow.....a kid round here saying he supported Chelsea would get a hard time let alone Man Utd
  16. ol yeah thats a fair point never thought of that....how does that work with you rugby boys as far as following your local team ?
  17. Just out of interest Max was you brought up in Sunderland ? You must be at least 20 odd miles from Sunderland id of thought Middlesbro and Hartlepool must be nearer you ?
  18. Right gotcha Friday 9pm.............ta mate
  19. Yep been watching it,,, 9 pm on the drama Chanel ,,, love that program,, like looking at all the things we had back in the ,s I get to watch it at work,,, also watch,,sharpe on the same Chanel ,,, hornblower,,, don't know why I like them period war dramas,,watched three musketeers last week,,, might be a good series,, mind I'm easily entertained,,lol Just had a flick through Sky what number is the Drama channel then ?......is it cbs drama....number 149 ?......cant find anything about Auf Wiedersehn Pet.....what day/time/channel number is it chaps ?.......Loved that years ago great seri
  20. People moan about how commercialised the premier league is......but its nothing compared to the champions league.....i hate the champions league as a competition not just because my club will never be in it but by its very nature......its not for champions.....and its neither a league or a cup !!......How can a team who came 4th in their national league win the European CHAMPIONS league !! As for supporting your local club....i dont think its for anyone to say the rules another man lives his life by but i know i couldnt do it......id love to be a Liverpool or Utd supporter and be behind t
  21. Its an interesting subject ive never understood if fearlessness is a genetic trait or just a state of mind.....im the sort of idiot who always loved testing myself and putting myself in positions where the odds are stacked against me.....but heights is just something ive never been able to conquer i still break out into a hot sweat going over the Dartford Crossing .....taking off and landing in planes i have no problem at all maybe its the safety thing.....most things we fear we can normally overcome with concentration and determination i conquered my fear of deep water by doing a scuba divin
  22. The Champions league has been the ruination of our own domestic trophies.....the FA Cup was the most prestigious domestic trophy in the world yet now the bigger clubs just see it as a pain in the arse.......when we was kids every young boy kicking a ball about in the playground pretended he was scoring the winner in the fa cup final.....now its the champions league final......for fans winning the fa cup was bigger than winning the league....you could give many fans any random year and they could tell you who won the fa cup i bet they couldnt tell you who won the league. Its why Allardyce at m

    Utd

I think the true test of a man like Mourinho as a pure football manager would not be the Chelseas and Madrids in the elite leagues of Europe and Champions league etc.....but getting a small club like Morecombe or Accrington or someone up the leagues where dipping into deep pockets to get out of trouble is not an option. He didn't do to bad at porto. Dont think you can really compare Porto to Accrington Stanley mate
  24. Should be a good game......2 each i reckon.

The prawn sarnies?? Possibly.......could be the only thing any good about it !......But it still wont match them toffee nosed c**ts at the Emirates so why even bother
