  1. There we go.......very nice.......hurry up and get this new shed up and show us the whole 9 yards
  2. Couldnt agree more as regards the codes of emotional conduct at football which many fans class as " ad " ( after Diana )
  3. Get this someone sent me October 6th 2004 West Brom vs. QPR makes history,as it is the first match to have a minute of applause in tribute for the entire game, starting with an 1st minute applause to show solidarity with a supporter who had stepped on a Lego brick without any socks on,and concluding with the traditional 93rd minute applause to commemorate the time the club ran out of pies before half time. The match finished 6 - 5 to West Brom but nobody really noticed,as they were too busy frantically trying to clap louder than the person next to them to prove just how respectful
  4. Not at some grounds they dont......give me the rough and tumble of Upton park,The Den,White Hart Lane over some of these mamby pamby trendy new age " offend nobody " crowds any day of the week !
  5. I wouldnt put him in any all time great list but he is without doubt the greatest fighter of his generation.......if not then who is ?
  6. I remember being at a game last year West Brom or Villa i think it was,we asked a few of their fans what the minutes applause was for they didnt have a clue, turned out a 16 year old local girl had been stabbed the week before so on 16 minutes they had a minutes applause .......i swear some of these fans have a quick look through the obituaries on a Friday to decide what display of public mourning they can perform on a saturday !.....The days of trading insults on the terraces when people were a bit more thick skinned are being replaced with these public grief rituals of obssessive emotional e
  7. Its not once its every week grounds go into random minutes applause where away fans stand around saying " whats all this about "....................dont you go to football ?
  8. Gnasher, its got bugger all to do with rivalries. A death of any good football supporter in horrid circumstances brings All football supporters together as one. Rubbish, down here there would of been a terrace chant made of it !......Of course its a tragic situation for the lads families and nothing wrong with their club paying respects but whats it got to do with any other club ......all these minutes applause tributes every week in games up and down the country are just another way in which the popularity of sport is used as a voice for societies issues.....no different to racism/se
  9. Personally id put Khans achievements in the sport way above Hattons but thats another argument......a Khan v Brook fight makes a lot of sense for Brook but i wouldnt think its something that would interest Khan unless he loses next time out......to be fair i cant see anyone beating Mayweather but i do think Khan can give him more problems than Pacquiao can......far as i remember i dont think Mayweather has faced speed and workrate i can certainly see Khan making him think for 4 or 5 rounds.......but as you say he might end up having to settle for a big domestic dust up with Brook anyway.
  10. Why dont you have a stroll round a few aquatic centres and see what types of fish take your fancy, then see the conditions they require and whether thats going to fit in with your budget/time/interest levels.......aquariums come in all sorts of shapes and sizes these days it depends whether you just want to keep a glass box with fish in or get into the whole natural environment/ornamental decor thing.

    God

That would be the same man yes.....Bio chemistry i believe.
  12. If a young lad doesnt " go equipped " in this day and age then he must be mentally deficient......theres being a bit wild and theres being totally f****n stupid id excuse one but not the other
  13. I think its vile all this obssessive football family overly emotional nonsense i think i counted 3 different minutes applause tributes in 1 half of football between supposed rivals .......maybe all this soft and loving togetherness is what our society wants these days but to me rivalries are healthy in sport im glad i still support a club whos rivals despise us as we do them !
  14. I wondered if there would be a topic on here about Khan..... being as how most of the regular boxing posters said he would never win a world title in a million years The kid put on a near punch perfect performance winning every round in one of the biggest fights of his life and folk say " nowt spectacular "...." a wins a win " !!....We in this country supposedly admire grit and determination......the kid took humiliating defeats, went away and improved his technical ability enough that his chin is now not really an issue !......His speed of hand and foot, his engine and will to win now put
  15. Its such an overused ideal Frazdog " learn from others mistakes "..........nobody wants to learn the boring way its an unrealistic ideal i wouldnt expect my son not to " sow his oats " the same as my ol fella never expected me not to........as long as theres a basic good heart there sooner or later people will find there own way.......how can you know what hot is without experiencing cold, how can you know what wealth is without ever being poor..........i eventually found a perfect woman but the only reason i know she is perfect is because i went through some bad ones first.
  16. Nobodys perfect mate.............id rather make mistakes and get things right eventually than never have wrong to compare right to
  17. Lakeside/Dartford Bridge yep seen a fair few round there as well......now you know why the cockney hunters wear trainers instead of wellies
  18. As a young lad the last thing on my mind was " a good woman "........the badder the better back then f**k all that being sensible lark thats for later on in life.

    God

Frazdog have you ever heard of or listened to a chap called Dr.Fazale Rana ?.... id be interested to hear your thoughts on his views he heads a group called " Reasons to Believe " and often talks of his own journey from science to faith and how science proved his faith etc.....i find him real interesting to listen to and just wondered what your thoughts were...or anyone else,s thoughts for that matter.....cheers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3SZ62FojKNw
  20. Everywhere around Stansted Airport your virtually tripping over them theres not even any cover on the roundabouts but they still plot up there.
  21. So you are attracted to " loyalty "....." morals "...." brains "....." heritage "........for a young lad you have the strangest outlook on life whatever happened to good old fashioned sin, slutting and debauchery !
  22. Stone the crows you aint still trying to flog this dead horse are you Max ! Liverpool v Arsenal is not a derby game but i guarentee more people in England will watch that game today than will watch Newcastle v Sunderland.........its great to have your enthusiasm but enthusiasm doesnt mask common sense
  23. I'd love to do this but everything iv seen that is breed for hunting is ether out of my price range or is to far away to travel and get. I was willing to go on a 5 hour car ride to get this particular dog but I consider this is as far as I'm willing to travel in order to get a dog. If you end up wasting your time on a shit dog because you wasnt willing to travel you will only have yourself to blame and you cant get time back........better to travel 5 hours for a proven dog you can have faith in than travel to the end of the street for a dog off untested stock you are chancing your arm on.
  24. Cracking voice but when you,ve listened to as much Johnny Cash as i have it doesnt sound a lot like him.
  25. Why not just buy a dog from proven and tested stock in the first place ?.................That way you can ask whatever you like
