For me pound for pound Jon Pall Sigmarson was the strongest man who ever lived.These guys today like Brian Shaw,Zavickas and the Icelander,even Terry Hollands are all human giants of 6 ft 8 plus and 30 stone......Jon Pall,s static lifts were not far off what these guys are lifting today and he was 6 ft 3 and 21 stone......any wrist measurement over 7 1/2 inches for a man is considered large boned......Sigmarsson had a 8 inch wrist Brian Shaw has a 9 1/2 inch wrist its almost absurd that human beings can be this size by nature.....What makes Jon Pall,s achievements even more unique is he was a

I never found it so much on machinery as isolating the shoulders was right up my street.... it was more in terms of the equipment they use for them competitions where they will lift a log from the floor and press it overhead.....if i could get it to the chest then i was confident of pressing out some serious weight......but i didnt really have the grip,the back strength and like i say the tecnical ability to get it there........its like the overhead press they do now they are allowed to dip,or even double dip to lock the arms out ( though they might of stopped the double dip now im not sure ).

All my years of biting my nails in relegation battles i used to go on 1 point per game keeping you safe.......38 points will normally keep you up......... But i couldnt give a shit about it this year

Same here the old Skybet off the phone i have got a Betfred account but the sites too complicated for me !......8/1 for the final that makes more sense now.... Barney is in and out of form at the moment but if he does beat him he,ll meet Taylor in the semi so might be a big ask to beat both.

I had a Taylor/Van Gerwen final from before it all started only got 9/4 i think it was.......think Taylor showed a bit of arrogance the other day the way he changed darts in the middle of a tournament maybe that will come back to bite him....... that Gary Anderson is looking good as well. 9/4 for them to make the final was good odds, Gnash, considering they were both odds on to win it. Your never going to get decent odds with those two in a tournament, that's why I went for Bunting to upset one of them. Taylor was 7/4 to win it......Van Gerwen 2/1 so yes cant moan really........Bunting

Thats it....similar to raw or classic powerlifting i just dont see the need for it......unless you are lifting with what nature gave you its a no lift in my book.................trouble is its all the different federations putting their own little twist on what the sport/s should be.

That competition normally takes place in Sept so wont spoil it....the drug testing has always been controversial as although they do test for the standard 5 they just dont test for AAS or any other performance enhancing drugs simply because if they did they wouldnt have a competition simple as that !......Pudzianowski the Polish guy was tested and banned about 10 years ago but only tested positive for cocaine not AAS. I spent some time with Gary Taylor years back the weight he could shift was unbelievable,his dedication to eating was something most " normal " peoples systems just couldnt c

Yes i stand corrected ....though if im not wrong that was when there was only 12 teams in the league......think Spurs were first since it was 20....or 22 as it was then........i remember an old Spurs fan i used to know coming up with a strange little coincidence .....apparently the double year when Spurs won the league Preston finished bottom !!

I couldnt agree more with Wilf here........myself im not too eloquent with words sometimes but if i was id have written more or less word for word the same as he said.......i wouldnt call Frazdog right or wrong on his views its what he has come to in his own mind and i respect that,but for me its all a little bit too dictating......kind of reminds me of the rantings we hear from certain Muslims and if as a character i was in any way weak or gullible it would put me off Christianity for sure. First club ever to do the league and cup double.....2 league titles,at least 7 or 8 Fa Cups....4 or 5 League Cups...Cup Winners Cup....Uefa Cup x 2....bunch of Charity Shields......iconic players in the English game,big fan base.....much as i hate to admit it Spurs are a big club no question about it.

Oh i took you literally as in not turning up to the ground ......no i cant make you wrong there but again thats what you get when players have no loyalty to the shirt......another tick in the box for a minimum amount of home grown players. As for Villa.....outside Man Utd,Liverpool and Arsenal id put Villa in with a shout for 4th biggest club in the country along with Everton/Chelsea/Spurs.

Football is a far bigger sport worldwide than boxing so naturally theres going to be more money floating around at every level.......average wage of a second division player today( 4th tier of English football ) is 40k per year.......while thats not a fantastic wage its far more than players in the 4th tier of English cricket get !
