Good film i thought.....bit of a crap ending though......every detail of his life at war, every detail of his life at home....................to end with " and now he,s dead " but barely explain how/where/why etc...................thought Lone Survivor was a better film.....anyone seen that one called Fury with Brad Pitt.....ww2.......i dont normally like him but thought he was pretty good in it.

Right ok as i suspected.....something normally has to give when breeding for colour......the brains of a Lab is something that appeals to him as he,s never owned a dog before so wants something thats going to be reasonably easy to train........i just didnt know if the colour comes last theory applied to this breed the way it does with others.......common sense i suppose, thanks chaps

I meant the ol fella gets a few mentions but yes i agree with that.....i used to take him round to Sammys flat with people like Vic Andretti,Freddie King they would sit talking for hours it was a funny scene seeing all these old hard nosed ex fighters in their seventies and eighties sitting there with cups and saucers sipping tea and passing round the biscuit tin bless em I dont know how much detail that book go,s into but Sammy is possibly the only man ever to have a victim stand up in the witness box and say what a thoroughly polite and pleasant man he was while committing an armed robbery

" Billys baked Potatos " thats right there was 3 or 4 of them if im not wrong one was in Roman Road market my ol fella would talk about the family a lot George was wrapped around the gangster Billy Hill quite a lot he did a bit of time early on i forget what for now but i think the rule change about the trainers licence was something to do with his criminal record........anyway...........Brindle is the old referee Sid Nathan in that book ?......my ol fella was good pals with Sammy McCarthy im told he gets a few mentions in that book im not a big book reader myself but i think i might give tha

A friend of mine has just moved out into the country and is on about getting a chocolate Labrador for long walks out in the countryside etc.....are Labs like any other breed in terms of the fancy colours are not normally up to par with the regular colours or does it make no difference ?.....its not going to be a working dog so not terribly important but it will be seeing a lot of exercise and always nice to think your getting a decent specimen of the breed regardless.....any thoughts ?

He was a bit before my time but being an East End icon he,s still talked about today he lives in Jersey now but did well in property and still has places in London and Essex im told theres talks of a film coming out about his life which will be interesting to see as he,s certainly lived a full life....His brother George was a good fighter himself but was better known in business as he was behind the Brent Walker Group who famously went bankrupt in a massive fraud trial in the 90,s which was big news at the time round these parts......For someone who never even won a British title Billy was a m

Hats off to you Sir....after all said and done we have to be able to look in the mirror and be happy with the person we see so if knowing you do/did the right thing helps make that possible then thats reward in itself as there comes a time in our lives where giving becomes more rewarding than taking in my opinion.......only a selfish person could confuse common decency and courtesy with being sad. I dont go a bundle on politics anymore mate i dont think ultimately its politicians who are going to change our lives but societies themself......As a nation i think we had our chance at

Its not that i dont like Ukip Max they are making the right noises in some ways i just dont trust them.....Farage can go on record saying anything he likes but what he says to gain popularity and what he does to keep it will be 2 different things entirely. I just think when it comes to community issues like this its the people who have the power to change things not politicians ........me and you can do nothing about immigration laws or NHS cuts but we can do something about how the old folk are treated by simply looking out for them with bog standard kindness and community spirit.....sadl

40 odd years we,ve been bombarded with guilt trips over starving Africans......its when i read shit like this i dont feel the slightest bit guilty......our own people get brushed aside and forgotten about every day......look after those around you folks.

I was under the impression that you only use it to get them through the moult......but i might be wrong.

Spoke to someone earlier about that poster he said it would be impossible to tell the authenticity without having it in his hand as theres so many things to go on.....everything from the quality of the paper its on to the site logo,s,the ink, exact size....all sorts of shit i got bored in the end and stopped listening ! But he did say the odds on it being an original after 40 years without being in the possession of a collector are virtually nil......reckons in his experience once 10 years have passed only around 10% are originals.....and yours is what 40 odd years old......apparently theres 3

Good for you, wish id done a bit more of that as a youngster......i agree with Hutch probably best not to plan it too much half the fun will be just winging it as you go......long as you,ve got a general direction your heading in just see where your nose takes you......enjoy your trip.
-
I wouldnt imagine it would be an original theres more of those sorts of prints done today than was done at the time it just depends how rare that particular one is i suppose........its a nice print in all fairness i like it we,ve got a few hanging up round the gym......the mags wont be worth anything mate but maybe put the books on ebay or something ?

Max your side benefitted from one of the worst refereeing mistakes in premiership history......and your ranting about an iffy penalty claim As for Match of the Day being anti Sunderland........i think you might be making them a little bit more important than they actually are.......apart from fans of our sort of clubs nobody else gives a shit

Ive never really been into all the memorabilia Ross.......auctioned a few odd bits off for charity ive had laying about but i dont know a great deal about it all to be honest.....i,ll keep the picture on my phone and have a little ask around when im out and about during the week
-
They didnt even mention it on Match of the Day thats how controversial it was......anyway when it comes to referees decisions Max luck was with Sunderland certainly not against them.......they,re calling it the worst decision ever made......its certainly the funniest ! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/article-2914845/Worst-decision-Jan-Vertonghen-goal-disallowed-against-Sunderland-despite-receiving-ball-half.html Hull were by far the better team first half i dont know how we reached half time at nil nil......the place was dead no atmosphere almost like a hangover from the Everton gam

Just watching that game on Match of the Day.....wasnt a penalty in a million years Max. And Spurs 3rd goal dissallowed for offside when the geezer was in his own half ...hows that work.

Not sure if that was aimed at me or Brookie but it matters not id imagine he,s the same.......i,ll look a person in the eye before im going to do something not sneak up behind them when they,re not looking like the cowards you seem to be defending........and the fact you are defending them id book you just as much of a coward as they are ! I'm defending the innocent asylum seekers ,that fella said he would poison them all, some of those immigrant risk their life to leave their country, it says in article that some were Eritrean, in Eritrea it's illegal to migrate for a better life, people risk

Apparently his record of scoring against former clubs is pretty good.....lets hope he gets a few against the dirty yids today and the mighty Hammers can go above them tomorrow.

Apart from the law what is there to be scared of ?.....Muslims are showing themself to be possibly the most weak, pathetic gutless race of people known to man.....there communities are frightened of bad mouthing their hardcore warriors and their hardcore warriors have to creep up behind people to kill them !!.......Hardly anything to be scared of is it. I id serve em every thing soaked in anti freeze and poison every last one of emplenty immigrants in England, get a job at restaurant and do what you said you wanna do, or is it all just empty talks. As usual. Or just hold a public barbeque

When i first started coming on this site all i knew was bulldogs and had no respect for anything that wasnt one as regards gameness and athletic ability.......over the years ive realised a good earth dog or lurcher is just as impressive as a good bulldog.......but to compare dog matching to hunting is simply wrong when one is a sport and the other is work.......sport has to be fair to eliminate cruelty......work cant be fair to eliminate cruelty.
