-
I have to laugh when i read Birds posts about his mrs i detect such hatred there sometimes .....i dont know how folk stick these relationships out i couldnt live with someone i didnt get on with my ol woman does my nut in sometimes but shes a cracking bird with great ways about her i really like her

I wonder how different that map might look in the next 1500 years as opposed to the last 1500 years !

The last proper eclipse must of been around 1998 or 99.......i only remember it because i was in court giving a good friend of mine some moral support and the judge adjourned so that him and the jury could go outside and see it !!!!......They came back in and gave him a not guilty so must of been good

He was known as " The Whispering Grass " round our way.....having been born here he was never none too popular. Didnt he also do some kind of card school if i remember right.

What a nice genuine offer.

Ive had the odd one on the aviary roof Brookie my little birds were petrified of course but havent lost one yet or even injured.......i bought one of them big ugly owl decoys with the rotating heads a while back, was out there a few days later with the Sparrowhawk stood on the roof looking at the owl then looking at me as if to say " your gonna have to do better than that son " ......ive just been lucky i guess.

I managed a little course they called " Try Dive " or something like that a few years ago but it was just getting to understand the equipment and taking a few breaths under water in a nice heated indoor pool .......my arse dropped out when they started on about an open water license !! Yep i admire folk who make the most of life fair play to you

No but i did pull a Wellington boot out of Regents Park Lake once !...............Id love to have the arsehole for something like that but i dont know what id be more worried about the shark or just being under water ......bought my son a fancy camera a few years back to go to the Bahamas doing all that i think it was just Hammerheads and Tiger sharks though not Great Whites.......pictures turned out shit but he had a blinding time he,s been on about going to some island near Australia to do the great whites......meanwhile the mrs booked me scuba diving lessons but i bottled it Good luck

And when you think it was only 10/15 years ago you could pay 50 quid for a pair in pet shops/bird centres !! Cracking pictures

Telling people things like " forget the gym " unless they want to get fit or improve performance is bad advice and simply backwards of basic physical health and wellbeing.......weight loss should never be dictated by numbers on a set of scales.
-
Im not disagreeing with him mate i havent read through all of it but the bits ive seen i think he,s speaking a lot of sense for the most part......i just think its common sense to seek advice on diet and the body from strong healthy experienced people who stand before you.....im not having a pop at anyone but having been a gym owner a number of years now ive seen lads roll in with their level 2 and 3 diplomas throwing all these long words and fancy theories around explaining the importance of a positive nitrogen balance word for word from their cyclopedic medical dictionary and reeling off the

If a person wants to improve their car it makes sense to walk in a garage to seek advice...........this entire topic is a perfect example of why a gym is a good place to seek opinions......telling people trying to improve their body to forget the gym is like telling people trying to improve their car engine to just lift the bonnet and fiddle about with stuff ! The average overweight none athlete does not have to join a gym to lose weight and achieve the goals they want. If their goals are to develop a more muscular build or improve physical performance then of course they have to in

Sparrowhawks should be my enemy having an aviary but ive grown to respect them over time they,ve got some front and a risk taking attitude i admire that yet detest them at the same time.....bit like Millwall fans really

Spoke to that ol boy earlier Greengrass,as soon as i mentioned the name his eyes lit up so i knew i was in for a long cuppa ......he reckons Sammy was out of Hoxton not Stepney but its only up the road anyway.....he was born in Malta apparently and came over to London as a child as his father worked in the rag trade in Limehouse, boxed for the St Catherines club as a kid which was a well known boys club in Mile End and ended up turning pro under the old promoter Jack Solomons at his gym in Great Windmill Street till it closed down in the mid 50,s when he came back over this side and fought mos

I was over in Cyprus last month cycling around the Troodos mountains on my first ride on a moving bike since childhood !!.....Riding round London/Essex never really appealed to me but a bit of clean air and beautiful scenery has given me a longing for more of the same so i guess that old saying rings true..." its just like riding a bike "

Hello mate someone did give me a copy of that book a while back its still in the boot of my car i keep meaning to have a read i did have a flick through the pictures there was a cracking picture of the Lewis clan and a nice picture of Lew Lazar who was a great friend of my ol fella....i think Cockell was just unlucky to be around the Marciano era and the manner in which he lost to him was probably harsh on him.....personally i think if you accept Lennox as English its hard to look past him as our best ever ...but plenty of the ol boys ive spoken to over the years say the same as your father

Very good.... surely it cant just be a hobby there must be a pound note to be made of talent like that surely !

I dont really keep up with it all Tomo but from what i see and hear the sport is becoming less and less about static strength i just dont think a guy like Hall has the overall athleticsm and all round power to beat these 6 and a half footers like the Yank and the bloke you mention i guess if the events were kind to him but i think they try to balance it out more these days and only really include 1 or 2 static lifts.......even Zavickus can shift when he needs to though you wouldnt call him an athlete i dont know what Halls grip strength is like i noticed that deadlift was strapped but if his g

Not sure influence would be the right word but the first person who ever got me interested in hunting was an old boy i saw walking with his hound along a lane near my home after id moved out of London, his dog was in immaculate nick and it just struck me odd that an old man would have a dog in such fine shape so i stopped and spoke to him about the dog and we seemed to hit it off so ive tried to attach myself to the old boys side as regular as possible ever since ....the dog is long gone now but he opened my eyes to a world i was completely ignorant to and for that im very grateful.

By the sound of it he took a liberty....but so did you.........break should mean theres enough distance between you to reset for your next attack.......not continue the last one. Dont stress on it too much we all aim for gym etiquette but personally i dont think theres anything wrong with keeping it lively after all sparring can become monotonous sometimes.
-
His peak natural core strength wont come through till his mid thirties.....personally i dont think he,ll ever win a Worlds Strongest Man title but he is a phenomenal deadlifter thats for certain.
