I know you live in isolation and dont get to see much of real life but you are a sensible responsible chap......apparently. Im not......and i dont live in seclusion.....so should i carry a knife ?...... its probably safer for all concerned if i dont Gnash I doubt if you would end up stabbing somebody to death if you happened to have a knife in your pocket and you got into an argument ..... No perhaps just a punctured lung or stab to the thigh would suffice.......cant be as a bad as a smack in the earhole eh.

The French/Italian attitude to alcohol is very different to ours......they use alcohol at social congregations/meals etc but have no lager lout or public nuisance and general " coolness " about being paraletic drunk like we do....they dont really understand our drinking culture. Probably similar to how us carrying guns sounds crazy but in East LA its perfectly normal.

Its nothing to do with sensationalist i only brought the extreme of Somalia into it because you brought the other extreme of Switzerland into it..... Bornhunter do you think that people should be able to walk the streets armed with a gun ?......as a responsible citizen should i be able to slip down the Rose & Crown tonight with a gun ?.........im not being flippant im just asking the question.

But we,re not talking about " crazies " we,re talking about normal everyday folk. You have heard of " road rage " ? its the split second reaction folk have while at a steering wheel......and you want those type of split second reactions from someone with a gun in their pocket ?......no thanks. No thats just being silly........but as im sure you are aware theres plenty of people out there who carry knives with no intention of using them.

I could do that with a knife/machete/sword or more easily my car,in my car I could even claim it was an accident and no-one could prove otherwise. I don't mean they should be given out to just anyone, proper testing etc Ok replace a home owners gun with a knife and see how many burglars just walk straight out the back door.........getting up close and personal is a lot more messy than shooting someone from 30 feet.....but you still get the same result. Why would it turn into Somalia? Why always use the worst examples of countries that have the freedom to use arms for defence? Wha

" sensible gun ownership " i like it................we,re all sensible until we go on a kill crazy rampage

Yes but the Swiss have one of the lowest crime rates worldwide full stop regardless of gun crime. Ok forget the police and government we,ll all take responsibility for ourselves and probably end up like Somalia who have a non existent police force and no stable government...... but its ok because the people take responsibility for themself. Ironic as well how the Swiss have such low crime rates when a good percentage of the criminal economy ends up in Switzerland

Why can't we be as 'bad ass' as the Swiss? Or the Czechs? LOL Got nothing to do with being bad ass and everything to do with valuing liberty and responsibility over 'security' and being looked after. I guess because Switz and Czech are not human dumping grounds like we are.......ive got more chance of getting a licence to have sex with horses than a licence to fire guns but id still feel slightly happier about being looked after by some form of security than hoping folk will act responsibly.
-
Surely when you compare the stats for gun related deaths in Uk to places like South America there must be something we,re doing right....no ?....or are we just not as " bad ass " as the yanks.

Im no breed historian mate theres plenty of lads who know far more than me about the origins of the breed......................what i do know though is that a pure family dog in todays times is probably the most purebred breed of dog in existence.

Seems perfectly fair to me.......paying for your mistakes is just part of life.

In my opinion it wont be physical enhancement that ultimately poses the biggest threat to undermine sport but mental enhancement whether that be through the type of rehumanising practises we see in " special olympics " sports where we,re not far off bionic limbs being par for the course or through the type of electrical brain stimulation technology or " mental doping " such as militaries are developing....lets face it military technology has a strange way of spilling over into civilian life as the internet has done. They are going to make for far more controversial questions on sport/life

There you go Fireman how many times have i said to you about how refreshing this little hobby is compared to dogs.......just another example here....well in Spanna a simple act of kindness opens many doors.

Save your money and kill 2 birds with 1 stone........find a local park with a Great Outdoor Gym Company set up for light weight training and use the park for your running.

If they were legalised then the values of sport would be lost forever......it would merely be a showcase of the wonders of the modern pharmaceutical industry. The values of sport are defined by the excellence of performance, dedication and commitment.....it also embraces other words such as courage, solidarity, teamwork, health not to mention the basic struggles and conquering that the human spirit can achieve......alone......sport is supposed to show human beings " at their best ". Its been like that since time began our generation cannot allow itself to be responsible for its downfall...
-
Thats like saying murder is part of society,we will never be able to stop it......so we might as well legalise it. If we give up on the rules of sport then we give up on sport itself.

And just how much of a liability would one be in the hands of somebody who knows dogs but just doesnt have the inclination to take them to that sort of standard.....what i mean is left to its own devices will they adapt to their surroundings ( i dont mean in a built up busy area ).....are they easy going when at rest for example ?......are they dog aggressive or does it just need to be kept in check ?
-
The group of lads I train with try to put our dogs under different types of mental stress and pressure whilst doing protection work ie smoke bombs,chainsaws/leaf blowers revved in their faces, working on unstable surfaces.strobes just to give you an idea.As well as being put under physical and mental pressure by professional Decoys.A lot of people think a decoy just puts a sleeve or suit on and gets bitten but I've seen good decoys make dogs crumple just by approaching a dog a certain way. Then as well as the protection and environmental stuff we then expect them to switch off and act calm and s

That's the thing SHOULD unfortunately many have problems ranging from nervousness to over aggressiveness and don't get me started on the nemerous physical and health problems that seem to be becoming more and more common with them. Any big breed that gets popular suffers this,I thought the split between performance bred ones and the big show ones might have helped. The problem is perforce is just a word.Hardly anyone are out performing any task with them. Most just call them working lines because of a few legendary names 6 generations back on a pedigree that half the time was fabricated by

I dont mean any rudeness mate im just curious....do you have kids ? or would you let a dog like that interact around kids ?.......i looked over that website you posted it all just seems slightly hypocritical to me he explains about taking the best fighting traits out of the Apbt and the best guarding traits out of the Mastiff.......and doing neither !.......i can see the use for catchwork on boars and suchlike but as a family guardian as he calls it .......sounds like a recipe for disaster to me. Haven't got kids myself but have plenty of neices and nephews round all the time and when

I was talking about the rules/culture rather than the dogs.......ive had it explained to me it would be like a big wwf wrestler taking on Muhammad Ali......its either a fight or its entertainment ? oops BGD beat me to it ! A dogman over there told me that behind closed doors they roll them harder than their traditional rules, he owns both Tosa's and Pitbulls. Go look up Grand Champion Thunder, a serious Bulldog indeed. Whats the point rolling a Tosa it can never be matched under Cajun rules as they are not game......all just seems a bit silly to me. Obviously for breeding purposes, don't
