Over the years ive outed most mates like that to simply " pal " status i want to be around chaps who are sharp and on the ball i cant be around them sort of f****n idiots no more.....infact ive just found out an old pal of mine upped a screw in Brixton nick last week i got a " can you help me out " letter.....having been helping the silly f****r out for years now its time for him to help himself out im afraid.

I was only having this conversation the other day....im not so sure you do see more at a game now than on the telly....i dont know if its improved camera angles or what but the amount of times im watching a game on telly and virtually every outfield player on the pitch is in the picture,you even see it the way teams line up to kick off they seem all condensed into one area.....particularly when your watching one of these " park the bus " type teams.

Maybe forwards have more time on the ball and defenders less ?....i just never remember defenders being pressured so much as they are nowadays i suppose the simple logic of defending from the front is in effect more today than ever before maybe.

Were players having less time on the ball though mate im not sure....ok yes they were getting hit with crunching tackles from all angles but it took a lot longer to physically get there....today Vardy is going to be all over a defender dilly dallying on the ball ok he isnt going to crunch him but worse still he,s going to nick the ball and f**k off with it....no ?

Personally i think its the stuff done when your side hasnt got the ball that would let those type of players down today look at the speed Vardy can get up to the ball to press compared to Sheringham/Le Tiss....and that seems so important today yet Sheringham/Le Tiss with a ball at their feet piss over Vardy hands down.....whether thats a good or a bad thing to see in the game i dont know.

Ive been visiting The Comedy Club a couple of times a year for nearly 30 years now i first started going when it was in Leicester Square next door to Capital Radio i was working at a few of the clubs there and we,d nip over to get the last hour i remember it would be like talent spotting a footballer you,d come away saying such and such comedian is going places i remember having a drink and a natter with a young Alexei Sayle in there after he,d performed he had us in stitches just sitting chatting at the table !....a few we saw early in their careers there were Harry Enfield,Jack Dee,Skinner i

I dont know about Cantona,Le Tiss,Berbatov etc but being the same type of players i think they would probably be the same......but in his own words Teddy Sheringham simply didnt work hard enough to be a top player in todays game....he just didnt have the speed or the engine to hunt in packs,chase back in rigid formations and do the work off the ball that your Vardy/Lacazette types do today.

Remember when our parents would harp on about being able to leave their doors unlocked years ago......the rules havent changed the people have. This whole thing about parents letting their kids roam the streets in certain areas wasnt an issue before third world predatory child rape gangs were imported to those areas. To mitigate blame of the scum doing it to put at the feet of the victims shows a basic compromise in the moral fibre of society.

Andy Carroll was a fool who thought his money and celebrity status was currency but was shown that a mans character is his currency and character takes you to places money cant take you !......It was too much too soon for that young man,wasted talent in many ways. Someone has to have a likeable way about them for me to find them funny i cant stand cheap vulgar crap like that Chubby Brown used to put out theres only so many times you can find f**k,shit and c**t funny....in todays times that Kevin Bridges is good but i love the observational humour of Micky Flanagan or Billy Connolly....from years back i used to like people like Dave Allen or Jasper Carrot but for pure joke telling Mike Reid and Jimmy Jones took some beating from these parts.

While i agree with all your points i was talking about a short term " get us out of trouble " scenario as opposed to looking to the future. Ive said for a month or so now i dont think we,ll go down.....but only because theres 3 or 4 worse teams than us. The dopey Davids will be gone in 2023 and thats the only future im looking to....whether we will still be a Premier League club by then though is anyones guess.
