I agree that competition was much better back then i cant even be arsed to watch it anymore........too much bodyweight strength these days i think the likes of Sigmarson,Magnuson,Pudzianowski etc were far stronger human beings than these giants today....for me a 19 stone Jouko Ahola had a far stronger structure than a 30 stone Shaw or Bjornson

Tried to set up the son of an old pal of mine with pigeons but he gave up on them when his birds kept getting massacred by Sparrowhawks.....so he got a Sparrowhawk instead ?

Its funny you say that as it can work both ways me and a mate took our wives for a wknd in a lovely little hotel in a place called Stiffkey in Norfolk a few months back,really nice little country place,beautiful scenery and surroundings.....we have a meal in a little village pub and the governor and staff clock our accents and start coming out with all this apples and pears carry on,swearing away like troopers i had to pull the gaffer aside and tell him to mind their manners.......me... a rough cockney bloke off the estates telling this lord of the manor type to watch his manners ? Probably....but theres still loads of markets Petticoat Lane is still thriving as are Brick Lane,Ridley Rd,Walthamstow and many others,different cultures these days but what do you expect... but its like every other thing they are trying to strip us of...i know im like a broken record but our culture and traditions are being taken from us... market spiel before lunchtime in the boozer is just one more tradition to take away from the white Englishman in England.

The reality of any capital city is if you are one of lifes quiet,timid reserved types you are not going to attract gregarious good natured people and your probably going to come away thinking folk are unfriendly.........if on the other hand you are a confident,outgoing sociable person with a little bit about you your going to come away with an altogether better experience.......like anything in life you get out what you put in its not rocket science.

One thing id certainly pick south over north is beaches.....some of them down Cornwall/Devon rival anything abroad as far as im concerned.....just a shame the weather aint a bit better......but even thats still better than the north ?

If there is then they certainly dont make the national press the way they do in Rotherham,RochdaleManchester etc.............Oxford is about as far South as ive heard.

Cracks me up all these doseys from forgotten little northern towns who have absolutely zero life experience saying " yes but northerners are much more friendly " ? I get it with Klopp he,s German....but how Liverpool fans,or any other fans are willing to sacrifice the most historic cup competition in world football is just another example of how horribly over commercialised our game has become and how unimportant club fans really are.....do Barcelona or Real Madrid fans happily concede the Copa Del Rey every year im not sure they do ? Its the height of sporting snobbery in my opinion.

So wrapped up in my own hate filled mumblings earlier i skipped over this.......its an interesting point as it happens. Average/good sportsmen with high levels of fitness and dedication with the right coaching can go far in their chosen sport.....great point

Excellent,good for you mate i love conversing with folk who just simply love their footie.....my grandsons 4 as well footie just cant hold his attention for long enough at the moment though after the first 10 minutes he,s bored and saying " right can we have a play fight now " ?

Ive found myself going to less and less home games i just despise the place it actually upsets me to go there silly as it sounds....ive not missed an away game this season and i think theres a lot of our generation doing the same......during the week a few of my pals started chirping up about it being the Fa Cup and what with tradition " dont you want a cup run " bla bla bla.......so ok come on then lets stay loyal to the cause......well f**k em now home games will be non league days for me for a while. You went to a game at Pissheads Utd ?.....havent been down there in years but when we was young they used to get called that because they had a pub on every corner of the ground.....i know The Griffins still there not sure about the other 3 though......they,ve got a nice shiny new ground further up the road waiting to be occupied i think they,ll be wishing they made it a bit bigger now theres a chance they,ll be in the Premier League pretty soon. Good for you though mate you get about to see games fair do,s.

Our owners tried to get Birmingham council to build them a ground to replace St Andrews and got told to f**k off.....so having now achieved their mission our owners dismembered our academy in order to get with the times and use our incredible scouting network to attract the worlds best players. Forget our academy and just hope that Sullivans son gets better at playing Top Trumps !

Wilf do you ever get over Rush Green ?.....this club thats been taken onto the " next level "......that will attract the best talent from around the world.....on the way to regular Champions League football.......have a training ground consisting of a few fields with some portacabins round them.....a scouting network consisting of 1...( yes ONE ) club scout....yet in terms of revenue generated we are the 18th richest club in the world !!!...........they have invested nothing in the infrastructure of this club,we are tenants in our ground,have non league standard training facilities and a kid p

Im finding it all too much at the moment that on Saturday was the worst atmosphere ive ever encountered at football the entire ground is toxic,fans putting it on each other,arguing....we,ll be seeing scenes similar to Burnley again soon i dont ever remember morale being lower than it is now......i looked down at Slav and Julian Dicks and they almost looked embarrassed.....im so glad that those 2 club icons that received no backing and had all the blame pointed at them before being sacked have come back here and had the last laugh !....we are a circus,a laughing stock......these owners have tak
