I know mate like i say ive listened to some of the older chaps from these parts talk about him i know at one point he either fought or was going to fight Teddy Baldock who was a local hero but beyond that i dont know much about him....also i think either his son or grandson even has some kind of website or forum im not sure.....or did he write his book f**k it i dont know ?

Heard a few of the olduns talk about him but not a fighter im all that familiar with.....different sporting world back then.

It was the owner of the club i think. Call me callous but i cant be doing with all this Rip to any and every person who ever dies how do you know 3 of the people in that helicopter were not rapists or child molesters... just randomly giving caring thoughts to people you dont even know the names of just seems insincere to me. Besides which isnt the original reason for saying " Rip " that the person in their reconciliation with God in heaven have eternal rest and not be tormented in hell,as well as being cheap as chips to carve into stone of course !.......but why would non spiritual p

I thought he was a Ufc fighter ! Seems theres a lot more inferior pilots cropping up since helicopter/light aircraft are becoming a more popular form of transport.

What an absolute pile of wank....people out to do you genuine harm dont advertise it beforehand or celebrate it afterwards. Dont these people ever get bored of all this shit !
-
Why would anyone be surprised that the Rspca killed a dog when they did their very best to kill an entire dog breed !
-
Would you actually expect the Uk to have the audacity to ask its native citizens to fight for its mother country in this day and age ? I,ll fight for my race all day long but my country....im not so sure anymore.

£13 at our little gaff....£3 for under 18,s !.....ive found non league football has put me back in touch with the game i loved watching as a youngster, the sounds of a ball being crisply struck and players communicating on the pitch, the individual battles going on i think theres nothing better a footie fan can experience than watching a really competitive tussle just below top level do you not think it all just seems more important to players/managers at this level Wilf ? Its a refreshing change from a wet Wednesday night in Leicester suffering the indignation of opposing fans singing " Yo

Im hardly a rocket scientist mate and i could see what it would lead to as most others could who know our club and our area......dont get me wrong i was all for Sullivan & Gold when they first pitched up it was a nice romantic little notion but the minute they even mentioned moving stadiums that was it for me....usually when something seems too good to be true its because it is....and it was. There are still good footballers coming out of this area make no mistake about it...but the routes they are taking are different to Tony Carrs era he was a unique footballing man Wilf im not sure

I get that mate i watch a bit of non league myself but like anything if you like a sport you want to see the best at it.....f**k knows why i watch West Ham though just habit i suppose ?
-
Its not about who was right and who was wrong mate im having the same conversations with people every week and we all come back to the same reality, and that is.....we just didnt fight hard enough to stop this move....im as ashamed as the next fan.... part of me in the back of my mind thought " well yes i suppose it would be nice to play at the Nou Camp now and again after all these years of hardship "......i keep saying never has the Bubbles song been more appropriate than this whole ground move !!
-
LIfelong West Ham fans like myself have to take a back seat now.....the clubs gone and will never be the same for us we get that.....for many of us the passions gone and its just a big meeting place for old pals. Good times for the 2 bob " new fans " we are collecting will kick in around 2023 when our current owners will be off and more than likely over those next years we,ll become the latest Chelsea/Man City............like i say the clubs gone for us.
-
I dont know why you are surprised though Wilf....did you think we was going to stroll into this new ground into this bright new world of football and become " a brand "...........but then go back and start picking youngsters off of Hackney Marshes ?......i remember you saying ( as a few others did ) that we should become a brand so we can attract players from around the world.....thats what you wanted !!
-
We wasnt just trying to stay up Wilf our last 3 seasons at Upton Park were season to season improvements you cant ask for any more than that.....much of sport is about momentum and we had great momentum that stopped dead as soon as we moved......moving grounds has been an utter disaster for everybody involved apart from the owners, which was the outcome predicted by a large number of fans at the time.
-
Going purely on the game and the players on the pitch losing 4 - 1 was a really good result for us mate.....we are pathetic.
-
Ive been saying all along we should of stuck with Slav....he was the perfect fit but the 3 stooges decided to twist when stick was the right call.
-
I think De Gea has probably saved a lot of blushes post Ferguson but at what point does his prolonged period of inconsistency become more than just a " temporary dip in form " like these pundits would have everyone believe !
-
Remember me saying we are too good to go down....yeah well scrap that we was so bad last night we was f****n hilarious....2 shots on target including a penalty and 30% possession....i dont go a bundle on match stats just trying to find something to brag about ?
-
Smashing little birds.....is that bottom picture a cock or hen i never did manage to tell the difference i know its something to do with the red around the eye.

The collation of what he describes there and having a fighting mindset is so true.....ive always said the hardest battles a man will have in his life are when he is matched into himself and whether it be coming up against people in life or in business or even just everyday tasks that " figure this shit out "....and " find a way to win " is such an important tool to have in your arsenal.....and one in which many fighters or ex fighters ive met over the years seem to have......really interesting listen that was cheers for posting it.
-
Its just the way that sport is now its a popularity contest and Mcgregor pisses it by a mile......being the best at fighting doesnt really matter anymore....its a shame but the proofs there for all to see.
-
I think plenty of chaps of my/our generation will be quite pleased that the big team when we was all young are back on top......i always said id love to of been a Liverpool fan but you cant just choose who you support it dont work like that so being that West Ham might not win the league this year theres no club id rather win it than Liverpool....bit of a soft spot i suppose.
-
See what happens when you keep Bull Terrier type dogs grossly overweight....they turn into pacifists ?
-
I think thats part of what makes Mcgregor exciting....you know he has 5 - 7 minutes of danger and then he,ll go into survival mode. Beyond that i dont get why folk seem to dislike him he,s a young brash guy having fun... an engaging excitable character full of life...personally i dont see whats to hate.

Cant believe this games still only 1 nil it could/should be 3 or 4......some side this Liverpool lot ....Utd look lost !
