Definitely would have been better, he had it all 2 Patterdales a lurcher ferrets he also kept cockerels and other birds also a wife who didn’t mind what he got up to but all that went to shit in an instant, there is a bit of a story behind it all but not for on here, life I suppose or we wouldn’t all be discussing similar stuff on here.

A bloke I know who I used to do a lot of hunting with done similar he put the 12g on his temple pulled the trigger slipped it blew the front and top of his head off, amazingly he survived he was in a coma for a long while now he is confined to a wheelchair paralysed down one whole side of his body and he’s only got half a head which he keeps covered permanently with a hat. Sad sad state of affairs but he should never have been granted a shotgun certificate.

I must admit I’m a big Rum fan one of my favourites if you can get it outside Cuba is Santiago De Cuba they do different years like an 8 a 12 and a 25 I think very nice drop of Rum, glad you enjoyed the Woodfordes ?

I wouldn’t kick it out of bed it just seems a bit harsher than some of the other Bourbons out there I like the smooth smoky taste and as you say a sipping whisky none of this down your neck silliness.

Same here lol although I have stopped shopping there all down to a jar of fake Branston pickle Bramstons it was a horrifying fake of the highest order.

I think you will enjoy it it’s quite smooth and moreish, where as a bottle of Wild Turkey 101 I tried was high alcohol about 53% I think but harsh not really that nice at all, enjoy ?

Different stressing of the rail we stress our rail to the extremes of our climate other countries would stress differently I would imagine.

Yes you use them on heat patrol there will be blokes out the length of the country checking rail temperatures around points crossovers junctions ect because as the rail expands you get what is known as a buckle where the rail ends up looking like this below this is just a pic I got off the net as an example. What Baker Boy was saying if you want a quick get away stick it under a bridge or in the shade you get a lower temperature, the rails can reach over 50c we had one local yesterday 49c. You can also have the other extreme where the rails too cold and can’t be lifted worked on ect
