  2. IVE GOT ME A LENS THAT WONT WORK ON MY LITTLE NIKON D3000. ITS A NIKON F.1.8D. AS IT HAS NO MOTOR ITS NO USE. TO ME I NEED A LENS WITH ITS OWN MOTOR. ANY SUGGESTIONS ON A SUITABLE LENS WOULD BE GREAT. CHEERS . AND HAVE A GOOD HOLIDAY FOLKS. CS
  3. there is a nikon d3000 at argos a great little camera for entrylevel. and wont cost a fortune. you will pic one up for around 200 second hand. and see how you go from there. it has tutorials built in so good to get a feel for a dslr. not the best but a good starting point
  4. i dont think ive ever read a book that wasnt worth the money. an active mind will find something of interest in even the simplest of things. but a dull mind will be bored at a worlds fair....i read that somewhere . ive read a lot of books on terriers. but allways found the real fun was in comparing what was written to what happened for real out and about. to all those slagging off the writers. cmon get your pen out and do one yourselves.
  5. i'm with paulus. although an idiot with a big strong bull x. stands out a little more than an idiot with a whippet. .
  6. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-20824441 is this the one barry :?
  7. knife crime and substance abuse are real issues that affect thousands in Scotland the government need to grow a set of balls and tackle these issue's. along with many other issues that have a REAL. effect on our lives. put the time and money being wasted on more red tape and more laws that are almost impossible to police into enforcing the adequate laws that allready exist. :bad:
  8. feck sake get a grip his face is saying. I WANTED A FAIRISLE,
  9. i worked night shift in a homeless unit in preston many years ago. some of the stuff you saw would bring a tear to a glass eye. its great to see you helping a damsel in distress and very noble. but now she needs to help herself as well. or it will all be in vain. with a bit of luck, and help from folk like your good self. she may be in for a better new year, here's hopeing
  10. spot on. if that child was a dog. or pet rat. the arsepca. would have her in court for refusing medical care. she should be horse whipped. silly mare
  11. its rife around us. four out of six of us have had it to date. i'm just waiting for it to hit me. probably get me christmas eve. sods law
  12. i enjoyed his books. as a young man. i keep and work his terriers and must admit there is good and bad in the breed. and the folk that keep em. but i'm not daft enough to believe all the hype. i believe his stockmanship left a lot to be desired. and you couldnt say he wouldnt do a bad turn. as he did that to more than one person that i know of.
  13. cracking pics fella's. i pass it often but never walk up. feck that
  14. i enjoyed some of his books. particularly the fell terrier. i met him at a show. he had donated a pile of stuff to . and put in an apearance. to help a charity.
  15. when i was hunting foxes more often. i would kill foxes that where causing a problem. in area's they arnt a problem. they would often be allowed to run. a pest is only a pest becouse of where it is not what it is. on the face of it. it sounds odd but it makes sense to look after your sport. by ensuring there are enough foxes to hunt. and removing problem pests efficiently will see you have plenty of permission. as for digging. thats personal prefference. . i could wipe out the foxes on my permision by shooting and snareing. a lot more efficiantly than by bolting them. and so could you . so
  16. well i'm still off the fags. and this would be a good time for you to think about stopping . for the year 2013. its the best thing you will ever do and the best present you could give to your loved ones. a few weeks and i'll be a year off em .
  17. i'll have a shot at explaining what it means to me lukey. its a terrier that can be used in more than one situation. a terrier that can be used for bushing /shooting/ferretting/ ratting/ and work to ground. either bolting or being dug to. as you can imagine you only need a couple of terriers to cover all the bases. in pest/vermin control situations. i'm happy to call mine jack of all trades. master of none. or (sporting terriers. ) most terriers are highly intelligent and capable of a lot more than asked of them in most cases. my terriers are generally running loose and rarely on leash
  18. i paid as much as i couldnt afford when i was starting out. got some decent terriers. changed breeds bought in a good bitch. she produced everything i and a good few other lads needed bought a couple of plummers. will never need to buy another. so i would pay well for a decent terrier after that all going well i would breed and rear my own if you are carefull getting your first terrier then with a little luck you wont need to pay again. ballpark figure for a good working terrier. 500
