  1. Cheers buster... i will be working up at thorpe marsh in the next few days, there is a load of flood water i need to pump off marsh lane, if the river is anywhere near normal levels i might have a chuck!!
  2. When she does mate come across mr c mate and becomes wed to a stuborn foe its doubtfull that calling the dog will be successfull, my advice would be to collar the dog, rabbity spots are lethal mate, as can be bales, pipes, rocks etc.... your dog obviously wants to go so collar it up and give yourself and the dog a chance of a posative result.... merry xmas and good hunting mate!
  3. Depends what you want from a day out mate! But yeah working is definatly best!
  4. If ever you find yourself in yorkshire give me a shout, i have a few rats to go at to keep my dogs fit!
  5. Welcome to the world of the working terrier mate...... what did you end up digging to? Fox, rabbit or just the dog?
  6. Merry xmas mate, all the best to you and your family!!
  7. I often misjudge how far i can jump and get wet, but my party peice is slipping on a sloppy cow shite and ending on the deck!!
  8. Yeah mate, just over the pit heap from me... what date do you know? That should be a decent day!
  9. I love bales, they always hold.... and they give the dogs a challenging workout. It supose it stands to reason that if the pipes and earths are waterlogged on low ground that your best bet is the stacks! Good result mate.
  10. Yeah bbb the land belongs to goldthorpes, where the dyke is piped there is a blockage, one of the lads was going up there to meet golly and try and unblock it, it should drain away quite quickly once the water is moving. Yeah steve it has been a nightmare up there this year, it always holds a bit of water but the ground is that sodden its taking some moveing, once the river is ats normal level it should clear in no time, but while theres this much water the pumps are just circulating it. Some decent pipes over there but there will be a torent flowing through them at the moment. Im gonna f**
  11. Where about bbb? We have pumping stations on the went, we might have a pump down somewhere.... i know its bad over norton, we had a man over there earlier today getting a pump up and running. Well done 1234 and artfull, iv seen 2 tonight when i was deiseling the pumps up, terriers were hunting like f**k along the riverbank earlier today so dont know if charlie or a mink has been round the pumping station overnight while i was having a doze. Im just looking forward to getting this floodwater shifted so i can f**k off home and get out to try a few spots. Im tempted to say f**k off toll bar
  12. Well done bobby! Thats my plan when i get rid of some water...... try a few bales and then get up a bit higher, theres plenty of foxes its just landing on them!
  13. Cant get out due to work but not too disapointed, as you say its more of a show on boxing day, i will try to get along at a later date, thanks everyone.
  14. I used to use my uncles border when i was a young lad, although she was slow to enter- when the penny finally dropped she had some bottle. Because she liked to get up close and wouldnt give an inch she often took a bit of stick and was retired after about 3 seasons, but she never once let her self down. Its always nice to see and hear of lads working borders, they are often overlooked as a working terrier and thats a shame because a border from proven working lines has a lot to offer.
