Put the ring on the pole, use a bit of fairy makes it slip easier, thread a piece of line through the ring, then make your clove hitch above the ring. Next pull the ring away from the pole with the string and slide the handle of a spoon between the ring and pole. Next turn the spoon around 180 degrees Then use the tip of the spoon handle to prise the ring over the top of the pole. Pull out the spoon handle and the twine and job done. TC

The only two things I freeze from the garden these days is runner beans and parsley. I do the runner beans as it says in your link. And when I use them I find it best to pop them straight into boiling salted water still frozen. The parsley I chop in a blender then use small tubs to freeze it in. 3/4 fill the tub with the chopped parsley then fill with water and freeze, for cawl I make larger tubs and parsley sauce about the amount you get in two ice cube blocks. Both are added frozen. To get cheap parsley plants buy a tub of fresh grown stuff in the supermarket and you will get around

Preban Hunting Deer With Lurchers Story's Or Pictures
Tiercel replied to bob84's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Have a look in this thread, plenty of old photos of dogs and deer in that. May take you a while to find them though. https://www.google.com/url?q=http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/247987-minshaw/&sa=U&ved=0CAQQFjAAahUKEwio8uTOm5fJAhXjnnIKHRypCac&client=internal-uds-cse&usg=AFQjCNFUO_v9-cIa8t2QngnxsO2bRwdoXA TC -
Or earlier as they may be returning from feeding? But it's a fair bet they were out feeding and have either smelt him or heard him and headed for home. TC

I am sure the nets you ordered will come with some suitable tethering pegs. And yes you gather them on to the pegs exactly the same as if they were steel end pins. TC
-
Nope, good try though. I will give you a clue. In the middle of your net stretch it out from top to bottom then count the rows there will be 35 rows which equals 17.5 meshes. TC
-
Just waiting for the question now, how do you make a half mesh? TC
-
For small nets I use wooden pegs just as good as steel end pins. TC

I read yesterday that Ronda said on twitter she was paid to lose. http://huzlers.com/video-ronda-rousey-claims-she-was-paid-to-lose/ TC

That's a cracking calabrese, your red cabbage and swedes are looking well also. You must be doing something right. TC

There can be no doubt that these crimes are conducted by extremists. No sane rational person would see the killings of innocent people as a victory. Here in lies the problem, the likes of IS, Al-Qaeda and the Taliban seem to be able find these people with flawed characters and exploit them to the full. Just like councils only employ jobs-worths as traffic wardens. I am not trying to make light of what happened in France just trying to emphasise a point. I am totally against people trying to influence others by propaganda and half truths. That goes for everyone who uses propaganda and half

Thats an easy one, when there are no more holes to repair. TC But it can be more financially viable to bin a ripped net and start afresh ? ?.... and you a Scott? How can you compare a yard of twine that if applied correctly will make a net as good as new to the amount of twine it takes to make a new net? Beats me, but you must see some logic in there somewhere? TC

All day I have been thinking, how could the people of any religion show that our country comes first before any ideology. It is quite simple really. Lie detector and one question. What comes first to you the country you live in or your religion? Any who answer religion get kicked out no matter if it makes them stateless. TC

Yep, what ever you get let it rot for at least six months, and if you can turn it to let air into it every week all the better. TC

The problem with veg gardening is, it takes a year to see your results and there could be half a dozen things causing the problems. Consequently we rely on old tried and tested methods handed down in good faith by more experienced gardeners. The problem with that is not every ground is the same, not every variety of the same veg needs the same conditions to get the best out of the seeds. Personally I think gardening is always a 'work in progress', we all chop and change seeds of the same variety of veg each year. "next year I am going to try this variety" some work one year and then do not

About 20 years ago the local gardening club I was a member of used to get in guest speakers. One of those speakers was a chap called Roy Criddle. He was known as a good exhibition onion grower, he done his talk along with slides as it was then and it was very informative. He had his own strain of the Kelsea onion that he had developed over the years. One of the main factors in growing large onions is the bed preparation. Developing the bed starts in the previous autumn he was adamant that the only manure worth using was well rotted horse manure with plenty of straw. Place at least a depth

Teenager 'used For Sex By Group Of Asian Males In Keighley'
Tiercel replied to neems's topic in General Talk
I agree with the sentiment, but what are you personally prepared to do about it? The wuestion I always ask myself in these situations is where the f**k were the girl's parents? If my daughter was being abused in such a fashion I'm fairly sure my wife would do a lot more about it than verbally complain to social services/police... The abuse does not need to happen late at night, the girl could have been on an 8 o'clock curfew and still be abused. If she does not tell anyone about it how are the parents supposed to know? TC -
