  1. If there is a good crop of berries, that is a sure sign they had good weather to pollinate. Nothing more nothing less, fact. TC
  2. A sad day in Welsh history. http://home.bt.com/news/uk-news/october-21-1966-coal-tip-buries-children-in-aberfan-11364011683753 TC
  3. I have told this story before on here, While visiting a late aunt, we got talking about mediums and she told me the story about her and my mother going to a medium in the Rhondda. The medium told my mother she was pregnant (according to my aunt she did not know at that time) and that it was going to be a boy. Well a 50-50 chance of getting that right. While talking to my mother she started clutching her right hand and stated that the child will have something wrong with their right hand, the hand will be deformed in some way. I cannot remember exactly what my aunt told me she said but that wa
  4. Would not have it any other way. TC
  5. That learning curve never stops. I have forgotten how many times in years gone by that I thought 'I have this sussed' only to be made look foolish by the humble bunny. I looked for patterns in feeding, early, late sets etc: Tried to predict when a particular set would be productive, given the weather conditions. Now and again one would be successful and I would think, 'yes I've cracked it' only for it never to work again. TC
  6. I was wondering that myself TC

  8. The problem with rabbits feeding after dark is that there are so many variables that can interfere with their feeding patterns. Heavy rain the night before can make the rabbits break their feeding pattern. Good dry nights for a few nights before can make them only feed for a short while. A fox travelling the set before you get there. These variables while frustrating, as you cannot ever take them all into consideration, are part and parcel of what makes long netting so fascinating. Even though we try and work it out it will only ever be a best guess scenario. One trick I have learned thoug
  9. Dependant on the weather of the previous days / nights, just after dark can be a very good time to go out. I done it for years. TC
  10. Mr Joubert run off the pitch after blowing the final whistle, he knew what he had done!!! TC
  11. Happens all the time. Anti's watch all hunting and taxidermy related auctions then complain to eBay and they pull them. TC
  12. Australia looked very tired today same as all the teams from the "pool of Death" they have had to play some real hard games and I think it showed today. No team can play top hard attritional rugby week in week out, it takes its toll. TC
  13. It showed in replay that the ball came back of an Australian, yes there was a knock on but that hit an opposition player before a scot touched the ball. Scrum or free kick yes, penalty no. This world cup has been blighted by SH teams getting the rub of the refs decisions. Scotland won that game fair and square!! TC
  14. The S H are in a different league to our N H rugby. We may, thanks to England and Scotland get the occasional win but that is it. Argentina four years ago were the whipping boys of the S H, not any more. To come that far in four years is phenomenal. TC
  15. What can I say, we just ran out of steam at the end. I think with a depleted squad to choose from a lot of players had to play a lot more games than they should of. Still no excuses the best team won. TC
  16. That's great sport stick a 10 or 15 yard net in your pocket and away to go. I really used to love doing that with the pointer, good part was he would go into the brambles for me. TC
  17. I have just seen who we have as a ref against S.A. Only Wayne 'it did not go between the posts' Barnes. The man should not be in charge of school kids yet alone a quarter final. TC
  18. Their inside centre was a converted running back. He made some good yards last night.
