It's not a mating call. It's called drumming with snipe and roding with woodcock. The bird drops from a hight opening it's tail feathers as it does so, the drumming noise is air being pushed through the outer tail feathers making them vibrate in the slipsteam created by the bird dropping.
Woodcock roding.

Personally I do not like the photo in respect of culled animals are not trophies. In another way it is nice to see a complete job done, hopefully humanely.

Just a little update because I cannot believe it. I went to see the nurse the next day and she told me she could not remove the nail. She also told me to spread Vic vapour rub on the nail bed and tape the loose nail tight to the nail bed. Apparently the Vic vapour rub encourages the growth of nails?
Any way done what she said and believe it or not the nail is now stuck back and growing.

If you read the link, there will be exceptions for registered inshore fishermen. It does not go into detail of what those exceptions will be, just that there will be some concessions.

In one year that will do more for bass stocks than any other measure. Go to Milford Haven fish dock on any spring tide from February through to May and see the tons of prime breeding bass being off loaded from the pair trawlers. All fish being caught on the migration from their overwinter grounds on the 7degree thermocline in the South West approaches to their summer feeding grounds around the country. These fish are prime breeding fish of 2kilos plus.

How come you can still type then? You should be lying in the gutter covered in vomit.
Those days are long gone. Plus you did not see how long and how many goes it took to write that.

£10? I wasn't thinking of spending that kind of money.
You could always go for their cooking bacon £1.50 a kilo.

Just come in from an all expenses paid night out with the boss. Last year it was a bottle of whiskey, this year it was a meal and open bar. He did not have to give anything.
