  1. But some of the 'limits' are nonsense and do not represent what the cars can do now...So, because a car can do 120 mph, are you saying that you should be allowed to drive at that speed ? Why not in certain areas....? Works in Germany. As for motorways you should be able to do what you are confident and capable of doing. I have yet to meet a driver, myself included who had an accurate assessment of their driving capabilities. TC
  2. Now this I could not get enough of. Warm, cold it make no difference it looks absolutely lovely. TC
  3. Don't get your saying pm if you like Read the thread and digest the posts and make your own mind up. I am not saying anything other than when you read the thread as a whole it has a different complexion. TC
  4. Right, this is pretty hard to write, so please bare with me. When reading an ongoing thread the information comes in posts, little blocks of information if you like. While we may read each and every post on a thread it just builds up a fragmented picture in our minds, while we may have the general drift of a thread we rarely have the whole picture. To this end, when I cannot get the whole picture a thread is portraying, I often go back and read it all again without having to stop for new posts etc; I have done that with this thread. Once I had re-read the thread and the continuity was ther
  5. It is all hypothetical any way, as we are not leaving the EU. Too many fingers in too many pies for that to happen. This is what I think will happen. We will have a referendum, but prior to the referendum all issues of discontent will be sought out, promises made that these issues will be renegotiated. "Once new terms have been negotiated we will have our own way of life again". The sheep will fall for the rhetoric and we will be in the same place we are now. TC
  6. The problem people have not addressed yet, and is one of the main reasons people state is the reason they want to leave the EU. Is their laws, we are governed by them. Do they think that if we leave the EU that those laws will cease to exist? We will still be governed by the same laws as they are written in our stature. Yes, they will be able to be changed if the politicians decide it is worth their while doing so? TC
  7. Well chaps I think the OP has a point. How many airgunners go out at this time of year? Most would have not even been out in the cold. He deserves a bonus point for even going out. TC
  8. Been thinking about this today, in one way your right, people will usually do what it takes to keep themselves going. I do myself, I take tablets that keep me alive, should I develop other illnesses that can be controlled by tablets then by feck I am going to take them. But there will come a time where no amount of tablets or therapy will help. As a realist I have been mentally preparing for that day, since I was 12 year old and my father died. We do not live forever, fact, we will all die one day, fact, we would all like it to be later rather than sooner, fact. People who deny their own
  9. I think you should have paid a little more attention then. That photo was taken in Panama beach in Florida. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/96334879505270189/ TC
  10. It's called growing up, we have all done it, some have taken longer than other but we all get there in the end. There is an old saying that's very true. Youth is wasted on the young. TC
  11. My youngest is 26, and she moved out last Friday, as you say once they have made their own way, at that age you cannot make decisions for them, your job is done! But that will be a good few years away for you yet. You will have some real scares in the meantime that will put things into perspective. But once the last one goes their own way, you will not believe the weight that comes off your shoulders. It is the natural order, we are born we propagate the species and then we die. Life in a sentence. TC
  12. Behave yourself and you will get out quicker. TC
  13. That's a basking shark plankton feeder. Nice try though. TC
  14. The way I look at it is, I have done my part, raised my children to adulthood I am, baby sitting apart, superfluous to requirement. So when it does come I am ready, whenever that may be. What does strike me is how people who have answered on this thread seem very hedonistic, it's all about what they want to do, and what they have done. There are lots of things I would have liked to have done, but they just never happened, no good worrying about them. I can honestly say my biggest achievement has been raising a 'sort of normal' family of kids and that will do for me. And when "That deep dar
  15. Links? TC He's put the web site address in the topic title Tiercel Now I noticed. Dohhh, TC
  16. Links? Or even just the name of the site. TC

  20. The disease I have your born with, it is nothing to do with smoking, although smoking does not help. But it is accumulative in that because you cannot exercise the other muscles in your legs they then grow weak as well. There is a simple test to find out if it is arterial, they make you walk and then feel the pulses in your ankles. TC
  21. Funnily enough that's what what I did for the first 5 years, in the end I had to give in and see the quack. Turns out I have a collapsed artery in my groin. Had they found it earlier they could have put a stint in, but the length of the collapse is too long for a stint now. Not every bottle of Man the fcuk up does what is says on the label. TC
  22. If your using firefox browser for a mac download Adblock plus, nothing gets through it. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-gb/firefox/addon/adblock-plus/ Just make sure you download it from mozilla other download sites add stuff on to your computer. TC
  23. 2. ohhh and i face plant i forgot to add that bit earlier Had a few of those. The worse ones are when you know your going and there is feck all to grab hold of. TC
  24. Good write up once again. It often pays to think outside the box, and your previous observations paid a dividend. TC
  25. I would get yourself down to the quacks, I started like that with terrible cramps in my calf muscles. It may be you have artery problems and you muscles are not getting enough oxygen. If you catch it early enough they can put a stint in and you will be back to normal. It was too late for me and now I struggle even walking up stairs. TC
