Looks like I am the only one then. If you have a party that is the complete opposite of the government, and that party is strong but not too strong, then you have an efficient opposition. Any party in power without an efficient opposition is in all but name a dictatorship. TC

Pickling Eggs (Vinegar Ratio)

The 6DL stands for 6 Decilitres or 600ml.. Don't try and cram them in to the jar as they will be squashed against the side of the jar and discolour during the pickling process. Am I, apart from BGD the only one who would like to see labour get stronger? Not strong enough to gain power, but strong enough to be an effective opposition. We need a balance, too far to the right is just as bad as too far to the left. Ukip are just closet Tories. So how could they apply an effective opposition? TC

If I leave my nets in the back of the van until I go out next time they will be tangled sliding around. They also tangle around the rabbit... I know you only use trad nets. If a net is hanked up please tell me how it can tangle? Each loop on the pin is set in sequence then they are tied in place. True it is possible for the loops to pass through each other but because the loop is anchored in place at the root of the loop they will just pull out. Unless of course it is hanked wrongly. To be pedantic they do not tangle a rabbit they enmesh it TC

Pure pointers are used when stalking for the very reason that they can be laid back when they are doing a job. I never had any problem when mine were in the hide. And also very good when a bird drops a good distance off, just cast them out and leave them to it. TC

Everything on earth has a time line, we are run by time, we use time to make sense of everything. We even attribute a space time line to the universe to try and make some sense out of what is basically chaos. But in space everything is timeless and chaotic, planets come and go, new stars are formed and old ones die. People ask when the universe was formed as they have to have a time line to make sense of it, Perhaps that is why the big bang theory evolved, to give people a time line? I just cannot understand what you mean by tangled? Do you mean rubbish in the net as that is easily solved? other than that it is impossible to tangle nets. Could you put up a photo of the nets? TC

Large Tuna Washed Up In River Severn

It is not unusual to have tuna in British waters, I have caught a Skipjack tuna in Carmarthen bay. There were around a dozen caught in the three years before I caught mine, nothing really big, they were around the three to nine pounds mark. OK try and get your heads around this. There is no yesterday or past, there is no tomorrow or future. There is only here and now. Time is, as I have said before a concept developed by man on earth that has no bearing on the rest of the universe. I honestly believe the concept of the universe is beyond man's comprehension because we are so constricted by time. We cannot comprehend timelessness or infinity, because in our little word everything has a time line or is finite. Now what that has to do with whether there is a god or not I have not worked out. On the first "God" thread that run 217 pages questions were asked about Erich von Däniken and his theories most went unanswered. In my mind it holds as much water as any other theory out there. As an agnostic, I am saying I do not know. I have throughout my life been given many sides of the theories of life on earth, and how we came to be, but not one side of the argument has yet to impress me enough to say. "That is what it is all about." TC

I never have and never will mock a person that has faith. In my eyes faith is a belief that comes from within the person and needs no clarification. What I do find intriguing is when a person who claims they have faith but continues to search for answers. That to me suggests that they are not really quite sure and perhaps are searching for confirmation that they actually do have faith? People like Wilf and Gnasher are very comfortable with their beliefs and are quite happy to say. I have a faith, end of. Just an observation. TC

The easiest way to sort out nets is to lay them out on a field and work from one end. When you say permanent set, do you mean like a quick set net? TC

Ad block plus and the ads are history. Google advertise on the site thats why the no tits rule because google did not like it. If you have avast AV you can block the advertising cookies as well. When I am writing this there are 4 companies trying to track me but avast has blocked them. TC

What francie is saying is there is micro evolution, but not Macro. Micro is where an animal changes to adapt to the conditions as with the mice. Macro is where the primeval slime became a person. All evolution is caused buy one factor, mutation. Genes mutate all the time it is only the mutations that survive that changes anything. TC

Questions for you all. At what point does a stocked fish become wild? Or is the fact that they are contained in a pond make it that they can never truly become wild? Just a passing thought. TC
