From what I understand and I may be wrong, the two main crosses in the make up of the Drahthaar are the GSP and the GLP With other blood added from time to time. The out crosses always vary with who is writing the article, ( I think that depends on who the target buyers are). The funny thing is the black and white Drahthaar are acceptable in the breed standard now. TC

ive never seen a munsterlander at work or know anything about them i noticed on preloved while having a browse there was a litter of munsterlander x whippet cross whippet x collie in wales. When I got my first GWP l done a lot of research into the breed. One article I read stated that the Munsterlander who are black and white, were created from the rejected GWP for not being the right colour for the breed standard. While there is no doubt the a pointer cross will and does hunt, how do the stand up with the running? As you have two different types of muscle, the fast twitchy muscle of the greyhound or lurcher with the slower muscle of the pointer, it is hardly likely that you will get a mixture of both so perhaps that is why they are not so popular? There are quite a few on here with a knowledge of genetics perhaps they can explain. TC

It's funny you should mention pace, they do not lack it at all, but it is different from a running dogs way of running. They will go all day at a fair lick but it is a measured gait not a flat out style of running. TC

Welsh is no more compulsory than French or German. If you want a good job in Wales you need to be bilingual. Welsh is not like Gaelic or Cornish where it is only used in some places. Welsh is spoken though out Wales and it is very much a living language. Through choice all of my grandchildren go to Welsh schools the eldest is 18 and she can see the advantage of being bilingual now as it gets her more work. TC

Aye would definitely need to be well vetted, I imagine it'd mostly be students who are planning on going into the caring professions that would take it up. Not necessarily, helping people just to have normal day to day human interactions is one of the most rewarding experiences I have ever had.
