In my younger days where ever I went the lurcher went with me. One evening I went for a flight on ducks on the river Cothie I got there early so got the fly rod out of the moggie 1000 van I had at the time and had a few casts down the river, I had not been fishing long when I hooked in to a fish a nice Sewin of around 6lb she was pretty coloured so I put her back. Walked back to the van and got the gun out and managed one mallard on flighting. On the way home I got to thinking about the Mcnabs and though well if I could catch a hare with the dog that would be a poor man's Mcnabs. On the wa

There is something that does not add up in this tragic case. The mother of the children is not the owner of the dog. I have read one report that states the dogs owner is a police woman. This has yet to be confirmed by the police. If the above is true then it seems as if the woman was dog sitting. RIP little un. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3837711/Baby-boy-dies-child-seriously-injured-attacked-dog.html TC

Or you can just use a piece of garden hose works exactly the same. TC -
You are not the first person to say that ....am I missing something here ....what reason does he have to be jealous? Mik you lead a pretty active lifestyle, and reap the rewards. Some just cannot see how much work goes in to the fleeting moments of pleasure. All they see is some one who is successful, and some just cannot hack it, it eats away at them like a cancerous growth till in the end it consumes and destroys what semblance of social skills they had. I remember it happening, we were in school and the head teacher called us in early from playtime, gathered us all in the main hall and told us. I can still remember him crying as he told us. In the dark welsh valley, On the mountain side, Lay the little children Close to where they died. Their little lives are ended Before they reach their goal, Tender little children Have paid the price of coal. We will never forget - Aberfan 21-10-66 TC

Wouldn't that depend on the context? Anything can be evidence but for it to be solid it needs to be tested, reinforced, refined until it stands up to claim, and counter claim. That's incredibly simplified, I know, but what would your criteria be? Evidence is subjective, even though to some it is fact to others it is open to interpretation. For example take a hung jury, they are all presented with the same evidence, yet each member has interpreted that evidence in their own way and drawn different conclusions. TC

Not entirely, no, but we have a pretty good model. We'll never know it all but like Alvin Toffler said "The illiterate of the 21st century won't be the people that can't read or write, but those that cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn." Without evidence just how are we supposed to put the pieces together? As much as I usually agree with your train of thought Chris, who gets to decide what is evidence? TC

I don't know a lot about toxics, but I know enough not to get Permethrin next to my skin. Just because the yanks do it does not make it safe. TC

I just cannot get my head around this. I consider myself as a fairly liberal person and I understand if people disagree with my thoughts. We are not all made the same, but there are boundaries that any sane or rational person could not even contemplate to cross. I hate to say it but this man needs to be taken off this earth ASAP. http://sha.red/2dVEJnV TC

My dad's had towy and teifi aswell after the rivers Funnily enough some names go with females and some go with males. Yet I have always thought of rivers as being female. I have one here now called Cynon, which to me is a masculine name. If the next was a bitch she would be Mellte which I think is feminine. TC Bran is a good male name . Also gelert after the famous dog Bran after Crow brook/ Nant Bran in Brecon. Daughter had a Gelert. What's the name of the stream by the stagecoach crash monument in Llandovery? Had a few fish out of there. TC

I have now started naming dogs after local Welsh rivers that I fished as a kid. I have always been superstitious about naming dogs after other dogs, I have only ever done it twice, and the twice I have done it both died very young. So from then on it was a new name for each new dog. TC

I think that Corbyn at the helm of the opposition will be a good thing for this country. That woman actually needs to be hauled before the courts and charged with racial incitement. People like her do more damage than the whole of the EDL KKK and ukip put together. TC
