  1. Stabba has a point, if there was a pre-set template for selling a dog, it would make things a lot easier. Something like. Sex, F Age, 5 Height, 23" Experience etc. However, the truthfulness or lack of it of the seller could possibly render that obsolete, or it could make those that are a little economical with the truth a little more wary of telling little porkies, if it is down in black and white. Just a thought. TC
  2. I have not heard a Cuckoo for about 30 years, I don't know why but this area just does not seem to hold them. or it could be that I do not get out in the countryside as much in the summer as I did when I was a kid. When I was a kid the magical date was usually around the 25th of April. TC
  3. Yesterday I started roughing out a herons head for a stick I have got the rough outline just need to add some light detail next, then comes the few hours sanding. I am looking for a caricature rather than a facsimile. This morning while down the beach for a walk I found an interesting piece of driftwood and tried to carve a wood spirit. It did not turn out so well, but it was all done with a Stanley knife. TC
  4. As above, spring forward, don't fall back to sleep. TC
  5. Those articles are a load of bull..sh.....you know what comes next. The premis they employ for the module of the rats evolving to a larger size excludes one main factor. Man and every animal that kills rats. Flawed reasoning. TC
  6. To be honest I am not quite sure, if you have one in your possesion and do not have the article 10 it might depend on the age of it. TC
  7. Just had a look on google and the Bullheads you are talking about are not the same as the European bullhead (Cottus gobio). The fish you are talking about are a type of American catfish. Sorry wires crossed. TC
  8. In wales they were the bain of our lives as kids, taking the worm before the trout. We called the Bumbulls or millers thumbs. My brother caught the biggest one I have ever seen spining one day, it must have measured 4inch plus. Trout used to feed on them quite often, especially in high coloured water. Funnily enough, I never caught or heard of a trout caught on one live baited and we tried often enough. TC
  9. If your fishing the worm on small streams, try casting up in front of your self. It's called upstream worming, what else could it be called? Look for the quicker water rather than slower water, use a longer rod as that will help you keep in touch with the bait just by lifting the rod. Look for big stones in the water as they cause a bow wave effect and the trout can lie in front of the stone and take food without expending any energy. Upstream worming is one of the finest types of trout fishing you can get, and given the right condition can be deadly. TC
  10. Did you block the horn? If not, the walls might not be thick enough to carve. It looks OK as it is though. TC

    Fostering

know a few like that, they treat the kids differently to their own family. One Fosterer makes the kids only use 3 sheets of toilet paper when they go to the toilet. With another couple they are not allowed to have their food with the family an have a separate living room to the rest of the family. As you said it's all about the money with some, but thankfully not all. We have done respite for an autistic boy, just to see him get to trust you is a pleasure on it's own. TC
  12. Working now. So no more excuses. TC
  13. if there is a red line under the word right click on it and it will give you the correct spelling Hear goes, dose this lokk like good spelin? It did say it has to be more than two lines. so i will try anothet. Nope no red lines, and it is switched on. TC
  14. Just found out I have one in firefox, just need to learn how to use it now. TC
  15. do you not have auto spell check? Does it look like it? TC
  16. I used to use the edit button all the time, looked good when typing it, then when posted all tye typos and spelling mistakes would jump out at you. Now I can't, so am stuck with what I type. TC
  17. It's one way of stopping serial deletists. TC
  18. There is an old saying. "You can't educate pork" never a truer word spoken. At least I tried. Dogs chasing / killing cats is nothing but trouble, trouble that with a little work can be avoided. TC
  19. It looks very popular to me... trust you to notice TC
  20. This is what I was trying to get at, and there are many more situtions where dogs that chase cats are liabilities. They do not have to like them just ignore them, same as they do with sheep and other livestock. TC
  21. This is just my personal opinion. Any person who sets out to deliberatly kill cats is a moron of the first degree. Any person who does not take reasonable steps to stop their dog chasing cats, be it a lead, or not getting them in to a situation where they can chase cats, is an accident looking for somewhere to happen. By the way I am not a cat lover. TC
  22. It's safe to say you don't like cats then? TC
