  1. Newcastle Road baths as a kid, stunk of chlorine, your eyes went red like a crack-heads after 5 minutes in the water, diving for rubber bricks and swimming in a hoop on the end of the long pole guided by the teacher, never enjoyed it, much preferred messing about in the river. Both my kids are far better swimmers, one has dived with a few species of shark, the other has been diving since around 15,and scared me a little when he made a hookah airline system to walk around on the seabed.
  2. I lived on the Isle of dogs, 1990 I think?Looked totally different then to how it looked the last time I visited, got locked up in Limehouse police station once, it was quite a colourful area compared to west London where I lived years later,I saw my brothers brother in law get his face striped with a Stanley knife, quite a decent mars bar, which is why he always grew a beard after that, just for having a petty argument.
  3. This bloke was from your way and probably played in boots just like that charts.
  4. This doesn't fit the hate filled violent protester narrative that mainstream are pushing, but downtown is spotless, protesters have cleaned up all rubbish, cleared all snow from the pavements, and crime has dropped since the protest began, if there was violence, hate, litter, I would say, but nope, different to TV reports. Less crime in affected Ottawa district since blockade began, early data suggests TORONTOSUN.COM
  5. I was living the dream when they came out, used to pour oil into the port of my Wembley vulcan to make it diesel, a loud crack and you could smell the stench of napalm almost when you shot, I didn't have a chrono but I just knew it was doing 100ftlbs ? Imagine shooting spuggies to feed your ferrets with one of these......
  6. I will be down when my kids living in Florida ??
  7. Tell him to f*ck off and get his boyfriend to lick out his mangina, that will at least give him something else to whine and bitch about ??
  8. Canadian truckers block main bridge to US as Trudeau demands end to protest | Canada | The Guardian WWW.THEGUARDIAN.COM Trucks block Ambassador Bridge linking cities of Detroit and Windsor, where 8,000 trucks...

She puts everything on facey EXCEPT her daughter is a lesbian engaged to a guy who is having a sex change so they can be in a lesbian relationship, and the daughter is pondering a sex change also, she hasn't even hinted at that ??

Got an absolute simpleton of a sister who does that, wishes her waste of skin husband who spends his days playing PS5 "Happy birthday" online, he txts or messages her when he wants a cup of tea brought upstairs when he is online gaming in his "Games room (spare bedroom with a big telly in) " , they also had an old clapped out BMW and always referred to it on Facebook as "The beemer" ? he had a courtesy car, had his Facebook profile pic of it parked outside a big house in Durham with him smiling away, he lives in a really bad part of Peterlee ffs ?
  12. Haven't seen one single violent action, good atmosphere, there's been 20 arrests since last Friday but they include things like bringing fuel in, urinating in a public place etc, there's lots of children with their families at Parliament Hill, if there really was violent protest as your link says........Wheres the footage?

Flaring their lats as if they have a carpet under each arm, calves like sparrows, looking at their reflection in any available reflective surface ?
  14. Which thermal will you use?Have you used it for birds before?
  15. Cast-net with a 10 foot or 15 foot spread would most probably get the full covey ?
  16. Yes drag cord on the top, weighted bottom, I did learn to knit square mesh. 10 yards you would have to be pretty accurate to pinpoint their location Fred, though with a thermal it would be as easy as having a GPS location, modern technology would take the guesswork out of it ?
  17. Cast net? Windy night so you can get as close as possible, decent spread on the net? Far easier to buy a cast net nowadays than knit a 20 yard square mesh.
  18. Wouldn't it be good to turn the clock back just for a couple of days mate, we once got 120+ salmon and sea trout in a weekend, we were only kids, no fear of bailiffs or comprehension of punishment whatsoever ?
  19. The caravan I lived in did burn down ? had a visit from the cops, the day after it burnt to the ground.
  20. Yup, it was square mesh mate ? a lot of the old methods are obsolete for a reason, time moves on, and what may have worked back then gets surpassed by modern technology, 13 is a great number with one shot, I think our best was four?
  21. f***ing hell Dan, I remember when I used to think chillums were high tech smoking accessories ?
  22. Life is indeed for living, it's a truism that your a long time dead, I actually just said to one of my kids earlier when I phoned him not to waste a second of his life, cram as much in as you possibly can,it's about experiences, collect them,it all becomes complicated when you have kids, get married and have the responsibilities that are part and parcel of normalcy.
  23. Scabby? Looks like the caravan I lived in for a year and a half ?
  24. I have 50 copies in a lock-up, the signed ones in the binder, the 1000 edition, but I am not in the UK and don't know when I will be otherwise you could have had one for fifty quid.
