    He hasn’t,set out on a trek and vanished,just been a body found in Scotland,a guy missing a year? Happens here a lot,that’s why PLB’s are popular,watched a program the other day a young kid came from Ireland to hike the PNT,vanished.

    I am thinking of getting one of those PLB’s,I have seen a couple in Cabelas and a few other outdoor stores.I watched a few Dave Paulides CanAm missing on YouTube,and his excellent Missing 411,you just never know,a Brit actor Julian sands went missing out here while trekking earlier this year his body (skeletal remains)was found after 5 months,I am doing the tour du mont blank trek next year alone,as my missus always says better safe than sorry.

    Mostly risk-takers are teens or in their 20’s,we never see consequence to our actions at that age,as we get older we assess things differently,but still do the odd “risk” to give the heart a jump-start now and again.

    Read the article and saw he is in Muskoka,nice area,I went right next to it once to hear a park ranger call wolves in Algonquin.I think he is ok,Victoria is a bit meh. The tree one bloke could have dragged that off the road,but it’s a photo opportunity,got to give insta content.

    Both my kids were around 16 years old when they did tandem,one of them might have been a bit younger,the Russian guy who took the pics and video of one of their tandems was killed not long after.

    I watched some footage a few weeks back,the kid was 18 his mum filmed footage of him walking to the plane with his tandem-jump master,the kid was happy and smiling………Chute failed.

    Went for a walk down a river as a bloke told me there’s an osprey nest not far out of town (didn’t find it)but I was looking at a roosting barred owl,I sat near it when a pair of Pileated woodpeckers began working the deadfall trunks on the forest floor.These are big woodpeckers,Forest Galante did a program on them as they are at times mistaken for the extinct ivory-billed woodpecker.

    It could do insecticide,it’s got a 25 foot “jet” of flame for destroying hornet/wasp nests.I saw fake hornet nests in WalMart,the blurb on the box says hornets are territorial,put the fake nest up and real hornets will move on.

    Heggie has now found god and Jesus?He was eating in Vikings,a fairly decent buffet resto,but said it’s the best food in the world.Interesting watching him,he is erratic and confused,no consistency to his ramblings.

    Check out the American drones with the flame-thrower for destroying hornet/wasp nests (and presumably the houses they are attached to)yes a tad OTT.
