    As far as I'm aware you have to be a member of an approved club in order to use any public ranges, which is an expensive pain if, as you say, you just need to zero a few rifles in comfort very occaisionally.

    Garden canes jointed with a £1 exhaust rubber works a treat, and no worries when you forget to pick them up!

    Caught a nice silver mole today ...... he's gonna get stuffed! Mark mine with line marker too.

    They are about average, bit expensive if i recall.

    Rem 100 gr for deer, 75gr for fox ............... not thoroughly tested them though, just asked at the gun dealer what was popular for that calibre.

    Got a PES (magnum???) on my tika t3 .243, nice slim looking thing, good sound reduction, makes it nose heavy but i suspect they all do that. Shame the PES website is crap otherwise i could tell you more precisely what it is.

    Moderated .22rf for the "close to" stuff .......... actually think it makes FA difference to the amount of rabbits you can take in a session. .243 is moderated because of close proximity of houses and livestock ........ makes it a nicer shooting beast too, downside is that it's very nose heavy and has ruined the nice balance of the gun.
