  1. 80lb draw is the weight needed to pull the bow back full length.....I think.
  2. Can anyone enlighten me as to why I have seen (last year) reeves pheasants in the local hedgerows? I suspect they were there to keep the shoot birds local.
  3. Good post! Its a matter of taste. You either have it or you don't. ......tasteful pics Danebrewer.
  4. If i remember correctly, the seasons questions allowed you to look at a chart.
  5. http://www.cci-ammunition.com/products/default.aspx
  6. Can anyone provide a link to the Tesco torch in question?
  7. In my experience, unless you are into target shooting, you'd be better off finding some private ground to zero.
  8. Got a question for you pros out there. Have a field with grass and clover, has adjoining woods. There is a big buck (clean), a smaller buck (in velvet) and a few does. The big buck keeps chasing off the smaller one, who now has a yearling doe following him. Who do I shoot first, and why? The assumption is that the landowner wants them all gone. I'd like to be shooting bucks till the end of season.
  9. Nasty, I hope not to bump into that one! Not shot one yet. Thanks for the info folks!
  10. I've not heard of that, what other symptoms are there?
  11. Anyone know where I can get PRVI in .243 in the Guildford area - willing to travel a bit....
  12. Thanks John. Glad my suspicions are confirmed.
  13. A few of the roe on my patch have this, back legs blackened by it. Am I correct in thinking it is normal and caused by excess eating of spring growth?
  14. Phew, at last Mr L and HZ have agreed that they are actually both correct. Personally, BT for fox, soft for deer.
  15. If you have a mod fitted, and you carry the bag "Muzzle up" any crud in the mod ends up down the barrel....just a thought.
  16. I'd get some accompanied stalks before you go it alone .... There is a regular contributor on here from up your way http://www.yorkshiredeerstalking.com/ may be able to help. DSC1 will also be useful!
  17. Are you sure they are subsonic - product code 0074??
  18. These are subsonic fragmenting rounds - on back order apparently. I'm waiting too! Wonder how accurate they be? http://www.cci-ammunition.com/products/detail.aspx?use=1&loadNo=0074
  19. Like taking a machine gun on a deer stalk. If you can't hit a bird with two barrels then it lives to fight another day ..... and you need some lessons!
  20. 10 feet off the base of the high seat I was up ..... good clean kill too with 75grn ballistic tip.
  21. I was once called out to a squizzer stuck in something similar .... he'd eaten too much and couldn't get out again!
  22. "Bushwear ones look ok but i wonder how long they will last, but they are the only really lightweight folders for reasonable money." Seem fairly well put together. I have the extension bit as well - brings the weight up to 16k ....... not THAT portable. Very quick to put up, but more importantly, very comfy!
  23. Bushwear do one, so far, very useful! http://www.bushwear.co.uk/index.php?ClassID=248
  24. You're not allowed to trap deer, so you can't exactly release them.
