  1. I thought that too Si, couldn't remember if it were on or off causing it though.
  2. Yes! I used to think no, until I tried one and my hit rate went up! Most fixed px scopes are set at 100 yards, an ajustable one allows you to fine tune the px often down to as little as ten yards. However, I remember Si (Zini) posting instructions (if I'm correct) on how to re-parallax a scope of fixed px for airgun ranges. Tony
  3. It was a very nicely placed quatering shot to the brain Lewis You can tell a brain shot by the way the legs kick, more specifically the way the toes/claws spread. It's caused by a massive "Short Circuit" as it were in the brains electrical signals. As the signals dissapate the wave slows down and the leg lowers. If you keep watching carefully, every now and then you will see the back leg tremmor/shake a bit, often this is mistaken for signs of life, but it's not, its just a last release of electrical signals in the nerves. Most brain shot animals are dead before they roll over. A heart/lung s
  4. Stevo, PCP's are a LOT louder than a springer without a silencer on You'll hear what I mean in June Tony
  5. It was originally designed for Centre Fire and .22 Rimmies that are shot at greater distances than your average airgun. It is fine for use on any airgun what ever calibre you use As mentioned above, it appears to have a thicker ret than most airgun scopes and although I could be wrong, my guess is that the thickness is due (at least in part) to it being designed for Fire Arms rather than airgun. 6. Iron sights need Zeroing just like a scope does for it to be of any use Some of the older models of Iron's had a stepped slide that had the range marked on it so you just had to alter to your chosen range (others had a rotating screw on the top) and then adjust the windage left or right, the key to using irons is that your eyes can only foruc at one point in space, so the trick is to focus on the post, both the target and the notch should be slightly out of focus. You need the same amount of light/space at either side of the post and the top of the post should be level with the blade of the

  10. The Jaw area and nose area make up a suprising amount of the head on a rabbit, I've seen one person shoot and it went through the nose with a bizmag, in one side out the other, not much energy transfer at all. Bunny began to run, paused just as my partner for the shoot had a follow up shot almost immediately to the cranium, and lights out! Later that day, I hit a bunny, fairly young one, the pellet was carried a couple of mm's to the right, bunny went down a second or two later it started kicking and I knew that wasn't normal (they usually kick when they land) as I legged it over the darn th
  11. There are some pix on here with it attached to the gun, but I cant be assed to dissasemble it again, may do when Woodworm pops round later in the week (the baffles are a pain to seat correctly at 90 degrees to the wall of the cylinder). If I do, I'll document it with pix for you Tony
  12. Yes, thats it Hyperion is on the money there I wanted to bring a Bullpup hunter into the UK nut it was only about 20 inches in length nose to tail, even though the barrel was about 18 inches, it would have been classed as an FAC Pistol and thus illegal! Tony
  13. 60 cm (24 inch) I believe, but would need to verify that Tony

  15. It's a custom UKNeil job, originally designed for my springer, made a hell of a differeance on the S200 then I customised it further with a diffuser material in each of the expansion chambers between the internal baffles. Tony
  16. Depends on the length, how it was cut, was it re-crowned? And most important Is it still Legal for a rifle? There are specific lengths that qualify its legality Cant remember the exact specs though. Tony
  17. Your right bud I'm old, but Marbles in the neck? That makes you Fookin Pre-historic

  20. Pellets usually make a buzzing noise, well more of a fuzzzzz when they pass you. I can't hear my s200 from 10ish feet away from the muzzle. Tony
  21. Open sight's, ahh the good ol' days I don't mind open sights at closer range ( I have a couple of rifles that I use irons on) I would use them in certain situations, but the scope allows very accurate pellet placement (my eyes need all the help they can get!). I shoot irons on a version of bell target as well Tony
