  1. It was only after the post had refreshed that I read it like that too Craig hense the follow up (not follow through)
  2. Come on Kanny, wheres the video? Well done by the way Tony
  3. And before any one mentions it "Kissin Ass" is not my strong point despite what may be infered by my previous post
  4. Ahhh.... Oh well, Ian from what I know of him is a Gent and easy going unless someone does/posts something stupid. Were lucky to have him as the forum owner really All will be good Tony
  5. I wouldn't have thought Ian would mind as it's free advertising for him. Certainly not been a problem before,
  6. If you really want to get a mole to go through your trap, just rub a dead mole from a different area on the trap. Moles are really territorial and will scrap to the death if there is another mole in the tunnel, unless its female and ready for a quickie, but they will investigate, they don't like sharing food, tunnels or females! Tony
  7. Never heard the Nursery Rhyme, with the line "Four and twenty Black Birds, baked in a pie"? They were talking about Squabs and other Corvids I have some recipies somewhere Actually, I'm just reading an article on Corvids by Adam Smith in "Total Airgun Hunting; The Book" he makes referance to the fact that Squabs form the main ingrediant of Rook Pie, It was a very common food in the 1900's Tony
  8. Hi Ross, Birds don't comply with our calendar days and dates Many people mention the 13th for some reason, but I guess the weather etc will affect them. Best just keep an eye on the Rookery and knock em off as and when they emerge. Will you be making Squab Pie? A rareity these days, but apparently they do taste good Tony
  9. As for the calibre.... The internal diameter of the barrel will either be 5.5(ish)mm for the .22 version or it will be 4.5mm for .177. My money is on .22 as I've never seen a .177 RT (even though I've seen quite a lot they may have produced a .177 version) Tony
  10. Again Canonball my appologies for being abrupt last night. Hope this helps a little http://www.gunspares.co.uk/shopdisplayproducts.asp?id=24484&cat=Tornado The Tornado is virtually the same as (well it is the same as the Zodiac) The Super Tornado http://www.gunspares.co.uk/shopdisplayproducts.asp?id=24481&cat=Super+Tornado The people at Chambers are very knowlagable and give great customer service (although they aint the cheapest I must add!) Mouse over the image and you get a magnified view Tony
  11. Get some pix up Frank, Oh the pronounciation I believe is "HiNell" Tony
  12. It is As you can see very low fat meat. Drooooolllllling
  13. He's gonna warm em, nibble em then snaffle em of course. They're the wrong type for the other thing
  14. Nice meal there buddy I almost had one yesterday Bloody wind! I trimmed the feathers on its kneck for it though Tony
  15. No worries, if you were Stealthy, I'd blow you a kiss With a baseball bat
  16. But it is illegal to shoot Crows if they aint meeting the criteria set under the general licenses However; Billy states that this Corvid was shot purely for the protection of the song birds and their young and this meets the requirements as laid out in the GL's Nice work Billy Tony
  17. Not if they are eye'ing up your vegatable garden it aint; or they're shitting so much it's a health hazzard to humans.
  18. Forgive me being abrupt but "ARE YOU TAKING THE PISS?" The old RT is a tap loader You say that the loading mech is missing; if thats the case how the ell do you know that it loads and fires? You ask if it is a .177 or a .22? I am assuming that because you say it loads and fire's you have some pellets and should be able to answer your own question Again, sorry for being abrupt, I'm not trying to be offensive, but your post just doesn't ring true to me! Tony
  19. Nice gun indeed 10x44 nope not overkill at all I like scopes with variable zoom and a 50 mm objective, usually a 3.5 to 10 or a 4-12 is all I will ever need, the high mag is great for surgical precision placement of pellet and range finding, the lower end is great for lowlight and lamping I'm not 100% sure but I thought the Viper was springer rated? Tony
  20. I agree Elliott, Although I'm not to concerened about getting a bad name (we have that anyway), what gets me is the thought of the potential infection and long suffering death of the animal. I had an infection in my left elbow about ten years back, I was in agony throughout my body and was rushed into hospital and put on multiple I'v antibiotics for three days before I was able to move any part of my body without pain. If we are to kill an animal, we owe it to do so as quickly and with as little or no pain as possible. Tony
