  1. This is the one I found, .177 As you can see it's under the fat layer and the wound had been totally healed. I use .22 Made me so freaking mad that someone had been shooting them with obviously no ability to do so with either a vastly underpowered gun or from a ridiculously daft distance either way that fecking pellet should not have been let loose. My S200 at the moment is putting out 10.3 at the muzzle and at 60yards it still has over 4ft/lbs to transfer which I know would do far more damage than what that did one in the pic did. Tony
  2. Nice work buddy You have more in that session than I've had in the last 4 sessions with my PCP  Tony
  3. Like I said, B2's be they SMK, Westlake or Snowpeak, these are all made in the same chinese factory to ridiculous quality control. Now however! The quality control is much greater now. Only yesterday I went to purchase an "Al in One" printer scanner etc.... Ordered the Epsom (who I've trusted and used since the 1980's) They gave me the HP version, I was not happy at all (Had a HP before, when they were made in the UK and it was seriously sh!te). Told the vendor I would try it and if it didn't meet my expectations I would be looking for my brass back in the morning This HP all in one i
  4. Steve your just a fecking SNOB! The QB's are deffo capable of a clean kill out to 40 (+) yards My XS19 is proof that a £70 (including decent Bisley 4x40 scope) rifle can do the job, in fact there is only the PRE-XS (mainly B2) cheapo's that I wouldn't use (apart from the QB's) for hunting. Tony
  5. As above both are fantastic, I've got a hybrid S200 that will in July have a self indexing 10 shot system added. I got mine cheap then improved it by putting on a MKIII stock instead of the original bikini stock. Accuracy wise, I'd say the 200 has a slight advantage (in my hands anyway lol in the hands of a regular 4/410 user such as Davy then the 4/410 would be just as good!). Ultimately though, if money is not the defining condition then it boils down to how it feels in your hands and shoulder. The better the fit,the easier it is to be proficiant with it Tony
  6. My new shooting partner has a 300 Very accurate rifle and at 30 yards its virtually making Crosman Premier Ultra Magnums butt feck the previous pellet But at first it was problematic due to a missaligned silencer/adaptor. Now it's sorted its making one hole groups so tight the Virgin Mary would be proud to declare it her own Tony
  7. Aye, that's the one What do you reckon happened to that pellet you found? Deffinately tool marks across the dome and a very straight edge on one side. Was it one of your pellets Stealthy? or like that one of mine (shot by some useless dick with an underpowered gun) came from an old wounding? Tony
  8. Contrary to what the manufacturers would have us believe Steve a sub 12 won't mushroom. Even the hollowpoints won't expand Stealthy, did I ever post that pellet I found on skinning a rabbit? It was under the skin but not in the muscle! Wasn't one of mine Tony
  9. Loved the write up Congrats on both gaining the perm and poping two cherries in one sitting (bunny & squizzer) Tony
  10. Welcome to the forum Mike, It is feasable that you saw your pellet in flight, even a .177 Especially if its a shiny pellet, your background dark and the sun behind you. If you feel that the gun is under powered, then you can always take it to a shop, club or friend (if they have one) and have it chronographed. A shop may make a small charge for the service though, most dont. Again welcome to the forum. Tony
  11. The one that fit's YOU best and you are most comfortable with Calibre doesn't matter and all modern air rifles are only limited by the shooters ability to use them! If your Talland have long arms then a longer gun may suit you, if you have smallish arms the S200 will fit better, middle of the road are pretty much standard length and you can pop along to a dealer and try them out for size. Tony
  12. Mike, How are you findingthe Stealth? I was almost tempted to swap my baby with a Stealth last week, but the bond is just too strong! I love my baby and just couldn't bare to part with her Tony
  13. Nice one buddy You say that 40+ is good for you, Its fooking great for anyone with a springer Tony
  14. Although I would love to leave em to grow and for the future all my permissions are erradication jobs. I am hoping that eventually I get a decent sized perm with a "Control the numbers" clause rather than the erradicate the lot. Tony
  15. Hey there Chaz, Hope your gooooood You are commingo Nottingham aint you? Just wouldn't be the same without you (not that it will be the same anyhow, cuz this ones in Notts LOL) Looking forward to seeing you again Tony
  16. Quite a few people have been complaining about the sudden apparent drop in quality of the AAF's. I used to use them all the time, then swapped to FX pellets (purely because they were a quid cheaper and I got great results with them). Since then I've tried RWS and most recently the Crosman Premier Ultra Magnums. And the very best pellets I've used to date I have to say is the Crosman Premier Ultra Magnums :wow: I get these at a decent price and only decided to try them because I was desperate for some lead. I'm buying another two tins tomorrow (I can't afford to buy them in bulk at the mome
  17. And you would be a bit of a plank to call yourself .22 and then go for a .177
  18. That depends on you When it comes to co2, a .177 reguires more co2 to achieve the higher velocity needed to reach a specific energy, hence it will cost more to run. However...... The pellets are generally cheaper! A .22 on the other hand uses less co2 thus is cheaper to run but the pellets on the other hand are more expensive to buy. All boils down to personal preferance Tony
  19. Or resize the image and upload directly. Tony
  20. Nice work Mike How come only one meal? Kits make a tastey kebab in fact I actually love the tender meat of the kit's. Squizzer would go well with the kits, a few shrooms, onions and maybe a couple of pieces of red, yellow and green pepers on the skewers YUMMY! Tony
  21. Nice little gun, suprisingly accurate and easy to fettle I've used the QB version and all the knockdowns went down at all ranges Bit costly on co2 though when you get into it Tony
