  1. He said Cotswolds not Lancashire!?
  2. Don't worry about it, just having a laugh. I would expect exactly the same if i did it. There is a bloke in the next village who is a multi millionaire. He is self made, sells top end cars Ferraris, Lambos etc and he can neither read nor write.
  3. My Mrs is doing the bedding right now, i can hear her shouting for me so it's time to foxtrot oscar down the garden.?
  4. As with anything you will be able to have ammunition made to your own specs. However would it really be feasible. If CCI are making ammo for a variety of companies how much extra would it cost to have them shut production down and alter everything to your specs. I think all the ammo coming from CCI will be the same just packaged and labeled differently. Winchester are definatley different to Hornady because mine grouped like a shotgun with the latter.
  5. Winchester where the only ones my HMR (spit) liked. They where and possibly still are the only Hmr ammunition not made by CCI.
  6. How did you measure the 154yds, by pacing it out? Did you have your shoe laces tied together? ?
  7. That is also, no need to confuse the chap, small steps and all that. ?
  8. This is the right answer, nobody should have a bad day with a HMR if they use something else. ?
  9. Well done! get back to mop the foxes up. Row= a method of propelling a small boat over water. Roe= A small deer.?
  10. The obvious question to ask here is "how many good days do you get as opposed to how many bad"? I would wager considerably more on the bad.? Oh! and mine liked Winchester 17grn didn't like Hornady at all.
  11. Bloke i know had the isuzu pick up, cracking motor.
  12. I can understand what you're saying here, but and it's only a personal choice i wouldn't go HMR. "No siree" been there done that. If i wanted a little more i would go with a Hornet. The Hornet is i believe the calibre everyone wanted the HMR to be and it wasn't.
  13. Be very careful of a second hand HMR it could be shot out. Edgar Bros now say they are only good for 7,000 rounds which isn't a lot really.
  14. Why is your scope canted or are you holding it canted?
  15. I like a challenge, it's more interesting than the easy ones.
  16. At least you have managed to catch up with one of them. How do you rate the green light? I have a green pill somewhere for a nightmaster 800 torch but i couldn't see anything at all with it.
  17. Awesome! great to see someone just enjoying getting out and about.
  18. Everyone of those tree rats killed is benefiting something else.
  19. Phil this may or may not help you decide, but imagine you have walked into a gunshop and there are three regulars in there and all have a different calibre. There is an old chap sat on a chair in the corner. He is dressed in a shirt and tie, woollen pullover and tweed jacket although the temperature is 25 degs and it is July. His ensemble is topped off with a loden hat and he smokes one of those curly pipes. He has a faint whiff of urine about him. This is the archetypal .222 owner, he is from a time long since past. Next is a much younger chap in his early twenties lent on the count
  20. I know a couple of lads that use them but they are used exclusively over baiting points. What they are like at range i wouldn't know. Personally i am not keen on thermal as a scope i prefer good quality n/v and thermal to spot with. You are only here once, if you want something buy it. If " er indoors " can see what you're doing then better to ask for foregiveness than ask for permission.?
  21. What Marc is using isn't thermal it is a front add on n/v unit. Why would you tell "er indoors" what your spending YOUR cash on, nowt to do with er. ?
  22. Sometimes you just have to do these things. If she gets away with it this time it will be a green light for her to dish out more abuse. It needs stamping on now.
  23. Looks like you are going to do a drive by.?
