    I quite agree about 22lr using subs as i always do. I always feel they are very limited in what they can do, but for driving about shooting a lot of rabbits to sell i don't know of anything better.

    You seem to be forgetting i have had one before and i didn't like it one bit. I replaced it with a .17 Hornet which i did like. However, it is a pain to reload for. I bought a pile of cheap Hornady ammo for it from a rfd i know that bought it cheap on offer. When i had all but used it up i decided to part company with it because factory ammo had become too expensive. I replaced it with another .204 Supervarmint, not the most practical rabbit rifle but definitely the most fun.     I watched a video of that knob sack Ripley using one of the Digex's last night. No doubt paid for doing so by Snot country. I know that very often what is recorded is not a true reflection of what you actually see through a digital scope. However Ripley managed to make the Digex look truly horrendous. Why anyone would want him to endorse their products i will never know. Watch him in his videos of fox shooting at night he always manages to wound at least one fox and last nights effort was no different.

    If we had lots and lots of rabbits i still wouldn't have a hateful hmr. No siree! i would get myself another lurcher. In fact i would rather use snares than a hmr and i dislike strangling wildlife immensely.?

    Most people who just turn up on shoot days have absolutely no idea of the amount of work that is required to run a decent shoot. I have been up to ours today as i do every Sunday just having a look around to see what needs doing before the birds come. We where walking down the side of a small spinney when out popped Charlie at the end. I will need to go back this week to see if i can sort that out.

    I will continue to use lead as i don't supply game to dealers just people i know. However i heard yesterday that they are now looking at banning shooters from giving away a brace of pheasants unless you have some sort of certificate.

    I have a carrier bag full of Baikal record cartridges someone gave to me. I always used to use Sellier and Bellot ounce and a quarter sevens for everything. I think they got expensive so nobody imported them anymore.

    I would doubt very much that subs would have enough oomph to cycle an auto. For the difference in noise reduction i would just use standard 28grm carts.
