  5. seems to be alot less this year for some reason? perhaps the milder weather? sweden and that area have had little snow so perhaps theres still plenty feed over the water and that the birds needn't migrate?

  9. hi all, recently ive been making a few walking sticks to use whenbeating and shooting. my next project is a antler thumbstick on a hazel shank. its the first time ive used antler and was wondering whatt the best finish is to apply to the antler after sanding and smoothing it many thanks CK
  10. hi, ive just made my first few sticks and have turned out ok. i try to select naturally straight pieces or naturally y shaped pieces that can be used for thumbsticks. first thing i do is trim off any small twigs or little points then i straighten mine with heat using the kitchen hob,then its sanded, wiped clean with a cloth, and applied teak oil with a very fine wire wool, then again rub the excess off with a cloth, then another layer of teak oil. teak oil is good to use as an alternative to varnish as varnish will chip and crack, which leads to water getting underneath it, this can cause the

  12. hi just wondering what the legal age is for buying cartridges in the uk? i know it used to be 17 but believe it was bumped to 18 years of age, just want to double check first. cheers CK
