  4. dont know about grabbing any dog around the head as you say , so maybe your right. But i do know about pain once a dog grabbed you, my younger brother got bitten in the hand by our Dalmatian we had when we teens. this dog was nasty twat and latch out at you, got me brother in the hand, went up hospital stitches . now i asked my brother what the pain was like, he said like having your hand slammed between a door, very painful, and my brother no wimp, he was mad fecker playing football even up to his 40s lol , so take tough person to handle pain i tell you. i did read in R .Stratton books on b
  5. I know what you mean mate, I've been. Lucky with all my dogs, that none of them bark if anybody about, my lurchers don't bark or guard they far to friendly and when I had bullmastffs they didn't really bark that much. I think as well all my dogs I've had were kept outside round back of my house, so really nothing to guard only there kennels and garden lol.. And that won't change, OK we got little woody in my bungalow, but only because my lad had him his house before, he about 10 so not going to put him out now. Another thing where a bandog type, or breeds simlar they don't molt, gsd et
  6. spot on that ken, and like been said that Russel x whippet bitch , great little dog, the other dogs look good, but she bit more quicker on to them i thought. i ve seen a very good vid with pat x whippets ratting and they were brill dogs, like that bitch in the vid but black . my little dog woody jack x chihuahua , only 10 1/2 lb , but fast of the mark , and bloody strong little thing for his size lol, i like jacks in pure form , but always thought they bee crackin little bushing dogs for rabbits/rats with bit of whippet in the mix , how was it bred ken, which was the dam , whippe
  7. No what I meant, was you want a dog, to let you know so body say about 30 yds from your property, you don't want a dog who only barks if there on your property, meaning you want to be alerted well before then to deal with it. Don't get wrong I hate dogs barking for feck all, but sensible guard dog should bark only to let you know somebody about. Don't forget I had bullmastffs, they guard alright but not sharp enough, to docile in my mind. A well bred Alastian do same job, but far more aleart when needed. I like bull type breeds, and as you know like bandogs, suoppse having bullmastffs pro
  8. haha , you prob right , looks like it have to be a lurcher pup of some kind then , they have heart attack if i said it be with Buck in the twin kennel lol
  9. feck me get a car for that price lol , i might go 200-250 quid at most for , think £ 200 quid for well bred lurcher or terrier , i might go up to£ 400 - 500 quid = well bred bulldog apbt , but just for a knock about pet/ watchdog , i go to the pound and get good old mongrel someting with drop of Alsatian in it prob pay them 80£ quid somting like that, or somting from a farm type dog .

  20. No mate, they don't bark at all, there in twin kennel, side of my place, woody I side, and woody top dog, believe it or not, I know he little thing, but he like most Jack's think there bigger that what there are lol. I do think though if woody been kenneld with Buck, he would have deff guarded, he is 1/2 gsd, I think the only time he shows the gsd grit, his when he hunting. But like said if wanted a proper guard dog I get Dutch shepard.
