I be honest mate, I came very close to getting one, my dog came from Joe Smith from Brum. Joe wasn't breeding at the time, said prob a year after. I had collies and got old Bryn 13 in sep, there great rabbit dogs deff, but I wanted a dog who do all quarry you put him on, idid here back about mongrel type alastians catching few rabbits and killing foxes, thie was in the 60s.they weren't lurchers just good knock about mongerls. Well a lad on here if you remember put the post on asking that he wanted to breed his gsd bitch. To either greyhound or whippet x grey, he wanted his own type lurche

Nice pup that, had 2 3/8 pit 5/8grey, and a 1/4pit 3/4 Grey, they all made 26 in 70-75lb, I say looking at your pup, he prob go another 1 in most mid - large dogs finish height, at 9 months old. My big 1x gsd xgrey stopped height 9 months old 28 in ,2 year old weight 40kg. His sire razzmatazz greyhound was 29in, dam gsd 24in. The 3/8 pit had bit more grit, but the 1/4pit caught more stuff, and enough fire in him, carnt beat good 1/4 pit 3/4grey?

Ha ha, there no gsd or collie in them is there? Lol, because them 2 feckin wimps are same, they only go in up to there chest in water, never take there feet of the bottom, don't think they can swim lol. Mind you Buck did one day jump River to get a fox. Don't think he even got his feet wet haha, norm he retreve a shot fox to me,om dry land. Lol

being honest mush , you far better of with a bulldog = apbt , if you wanted a proper type working dog, nice 45lb pit bitch from good lines make great working dog. you must have fair few pits over where you are, think they use few with hounds on your wild pigs out there . you ever see many presa's over where you are, there supposed to be in guard dog out there, there took over from gsd and rotties .?

is he still on here, i met him when he had them alunt things , the alunts werent that much cop, but his ebts looked very good dogs, nothing like the over sized egg shaped KC dogs . not sure if it right, but didnt one of his dog attack him, and got hurt quite bad .? i do know one thing though , that the ebt have the worse temp with people, they can be very sharp with people, there the only one out of, the staff, apbt, that make good guard dogs. i had near miss with one in the 80s went to a bull breed show, walked past a young girl sitting in the bench, my wife was on the outside my lef

Haha, to true mate, your right though with my accent though, all I get is are you from Brum. I say no feckin way, bloody wolves, think most here never traveled further than Hereford, they live in there little bubble here. I suppose though seeing big Buck trotting about as well plus me they think were from another planet haha, ?

Went out 7 .30 pm sat night with dogs, norm dont see that many people that time, it quite popular walk though as common ground , so you do get fair few people, it either go in farmers fields , and have them on my back with my dogs i keep, so i use this place.Well anyway a woman was assaulted by a bloke last night, just before turned up there, i spoke to another woman i know just few secs, before i went on my walk, got back and there was 2 cop cars there , 1 male copper 2 police women . what had happened , was a bloke big retriever type dog, got involved with this woman little yappy type dog

Just listend to Neil Young, sining(old man look at my life) a class song, sang brilliant ??

Well if that's the case, don't say nothing, verbal or write anything on a gate etc, just say when your rottie or gsd etc, bites somebody who shouldn't be there, say we'll he never done that before, you need it deff with a ACD they bite loads of people lol
-
my sister-in-law had bitch , and that was yampy fecker not keen on the breed. i tell you one breed , that ok not pp type dog , and not very big breed, there few make bulldogs = apbt , size it the ACD, now these feckers will bite you leg, hand , anywhere they grab you lol , i talking to few lads on a Oz site the lads with pig dogs , there dogs are wary of them so are the blokes . there far more bolder temp than any collie or kelpie . dont think you hit these feckers so quick with lump hammer like been said on the post, the Oz pig hunters have had to really lay in to them , to stop them se

true Dave , but i wouldnt rock the boat with him, you got do as says , or could loose the new ground , ive never had much time for farmers best of times ,maybe it because i kept lurcher 30 odd years . so i just shoot when he says .

spot on above deff regards dominance in some big breeds, when i had bullmastiffs in the 80s , went to few shows , and you could see the male rotties kicking off, and looked way to sharp around people, as you have people walking about with kids etc, ok few bllmastiffs were bit sharp more so the males , but no where as bad as the rotties. my male bullmastiff that won best male b/m at crufts in the 80s , he was bit sharp with kids and small women , ok with blokes , i my son was just born back then, so he had to go, just like mate , dogs got to be 100% with people / kids , i know your bandog bi

iam surprised people dont use rotties more , there big powerful dog, and intimidating looking dog , more so than a gsd , the only dog i seen that looked and would deff bite you was big black gsd x , might have had mastiff in it had huge head on it , was kept on chain in the day at the farm, loose at night , not a dog to mess with .

By fair point that, how many really test there dog, full potential? I tried to when I was younger, even when working, I still go out couple nights a week, was a tester when I got back in house from 12pm - 4.30 am, kipa.on chair for 1 1/hour leave house be at work 7am , by Friday I was fooked, did this for 18 odd years. Finished work and still lamped couple nights a week.and mooched every day with Buck, prob not tested as much as young bloke might do, but he still keep me freezer full, been a good 8 years with him. But you right mate, lines etc mean nout if the dog don't get enough pr

A woman by me got a pet shop was talking to her few months back about this breed. She got attacked by male of this breed had to have stitches, and broke bone in her wrist. She said she was talking to its owner, having cuppa, only got up to move a chair back, and bang he grabbed her hand/wrist, a very dangerous animal and with other dogs. Prob more stable guard dogs out there than these things. I like bull breeds, bandog, or good old gsdx type from a farm or scrap yard do just a good job and better temp, and prob lot cheaper to buy lol
-
Yeh bad temps in them, not for me.
-
OK, but if the beddy it self in pure form not of working stock no more, maybe you have to out x to get the beddy back on track, if you see what I mean. Like any ped breed really. If it lost size, temperament etc, sometimes it nerds to be done to improve the breed. Maybe out x then to a working wheaten then, if not a jack or pat, somthing deff got to be Done to save the breed.
-
Back on track, them (black Russian Terriers) are full on type guard dog, like big airdale, but more sharper temp, my mate had one said very good guard dog, have strip the coat down like you would a airdale, but can see how people go for smooth coated dog though like bandog, ridgeback, easy to groom.!
-
Yeh it makes sence, getting well bred beddy, from proper working lines. And not show stuff be deff the prob,. Maybe it have to be say beddy x with drop of pat or Jack in it genes just to get working bred terrier, just a thought ? And like you say not got to be 1x either, 2nd gen 1x or like the above breeding 3/8 beddy 5/8grey=lurcher x lurcher spot on ?
-
Good breeding that, if was after beddyx that's what I go for, I like the 1x but you don't see many bred that way for some reason.??
