  1. David Dimbleby has been doing much the same since the late 70's He's always there. Interesting day ahead, well I find it interesting anyway.
  2. Saw that and was quite surprised, good result.
  3. I can't see it lasting 12 months, if there's no majority and the coalition between either two breaks down, we'll be back at the polls in no time.
  4. At the moment, it really is too early, but I have a feeling that the Conservatives may just pip a majority of sorts. Though it could be small.
  5. I'll be watching the swing in Wales too Trisha Not sure whether there will be any new Conservatives taking over but it will be intriguing
  6. thanks for clearing that up for me i didnt understad it i think its stupid the way they didnt tell use about it when i was in school leaving youngens like me not knowing anything about it No problem I studied Government & Politics so its fair to say I have a "vested interest" in it. Hence why I'm awake at quarter past midnight watching the debate
  7. As Sean says, you will only see parties in which they have put forward a candidate. Therefore if the BNP has not chosen a candidate to stand in a certain constituency then it won't appear on your ballot paper. E.g. the BNP was not on my list.
  8. I'm just watching these results as they are coming in. The exit poll which at first suggested a Conservative major party with 19 short of a majority seems to be being dashed.... If the Swing continues in this way to the Conservatives as it has in such Labour strongholds, then it could easily be a Conservative government with a working majority by morning. Could be a very interesting night.
  9. Brilliant series, one of my favourites
  10. It unfortunately degraded into the usual racist slurs that often occur on these threads. As for marking the topic as deleted, we only have two options, either to delete the thread, or to make it temporarily unavailable, neither of which enable members to view it.
  11. AyA Historical Data Have a look at page 57 on this manual and compare it with the serial number/date code which should be found on either the action flats or barrel flats which should give you a date
  12. I have an AyA serial number guide here somewhere See if I can dig it out.
  13. Don't panic if it takes ages , i'm told Dyfed Powys are very busy at the moment , i still have not had my SGC and FAC back yet and i sent them in 8 weeks ago for change of address , had my cabinets re-inspected at the new address almost straight away but no sign of the certificates yet Not really surprising with the size of the force's area. Over half the land mass of Wales with probably more SGCs and FACs on issue than anywhere else in England and Wales They must have fits and spurts where all of a sudden there are 10,000 certificates to re-issue and then nothing for months
  14. Good luck with it matey Hopefully won't take long.
  15. Thats interesting Ric, didn't know it was a civil offense
  16. As Ric says, they are on the General License, but you have to be very careful to identify that it is without doubt a feral cat rather than a domestic cat or cats wandering around. A domestic cat is the property of its owner and so if you kill it and they find out, its criminal damage regardless of whether it was on their land or not. I've tried and failed in the past the find a definitive definition of what a feral cat is and how long a domestic cat has to be on land before it is considered feral. There are a number of feral cats on one of my permissions but I went through a lot of in
  17. I'd be tempted to go along with Mushroom's explanation, it means how many crosses there are on the bed post
  18. Seems an awful lot of trouble to go to, dropping them at sea. I've had a few misfires in shotgun and rimfire, if they don't go a second time, then its normally as far into the wet ground that i can push them or in the lake. Need to get your semi sorted though matey
  19. You seem to be able to start topics though Can't see any reason you can't post matey, have you tried a different browser etc?
  20. Also as an addition to the above from Deker, The "Occupier" is defined in the Home Office guidance as the same as Sec.27 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. This sections states that an "occupier" means anyone with the right to hunt, shoot or fish over land. Hence you are covered in that respect. However. My home force does not follow the above definition and follows strictly the wording of the "Estate Condition" which means it has to be a landowner or his employee. Best to check, as I had a really heated argument with my force (via letter) but they would not budge for some
  21. Sound advice there Sage I've had a few double discharges with an older gun of mine, happened once and I stopped shooting and cleaned it inside and out, action and all to see if I could rectify it but a few shots down the line, it did the same again. But as has been said, not a massive job to correct but with a gun of Cogswell's name, its worth getting sorted to preserve the gun. I've shot Saga before now and always found them fine to shoot. Didn't get on with them at all, but fine to shoot all the same. From what you say, certainly from my experience, the primer tends to be push
  22. All I can say is just take your time, answer what they ask you truthfully and there isn't a problem. You are under no obligation to tell him what you intend to use your Shotguns for or why you need a certificate. Unlike an FAC, you do not have to provide a good reason for each weapon/certificate, the police have to prove that you are not capable of safely holding a shotgun certificate to refuse you. It does no harm to discuss what you intend to use them for but no justification is needed. If he asks where you intend to keeper, just mention the name of the estate as you have and leave
  23. I think the button that encompasses all of the above is the one in the bottom left of every post, "Report" Just say what the problem is and someone will do it, normally pretty quick if there's a Mod around which there is most of the time.
