  1. Just read this, Cracking read as usual Fd. Those 100 grainers put shame to my 50gr BT's , mine only take part head off Looks like you are having a good start to the year, as am I, Since January I have had 17 here which is an awful lot for this place and even more so considering the silage hasn't been cut yet. Good Luck, and Good Shooting. Regards SS
  2. That may mean that they need it more. Some of the rarer blood types are used for plasma extraction which is to aide new born babies who are in incubators and such. Whereas, people think they have a rare blood type means that the blood service need it more, it is actually the opposite because so many people are one type, O +/-, then they need as much of that type as possible as it is the most in demand. But at least the Blood service will confirm your blood group and you may find yourself helping babies develop normally and healthily. Regards SS P.S I am O Rhesus Positive, th
  3. Nice to have you back HG, have missed you in Chat. Sorry to hear of your loss, the loss of a friend runs deep. Catch ya later. SS
  4. They normally have them within a few miles of your home and very rarely in hospitals, more often than not they either have a Coach which they take to big offices and such as well as using Church Halls, Community Centres and so on. You cant expect them to come to your house to get 1 pint of blood, it would drain their resources. Regards SS
  5. As Above, I am off ,as usual every six months to give blood to the Welsh Blood Service. I think it is both important and satisfying to give blood and to be honest, it doesn't take an awful lot of effort to do so. If they are around mid-week then you may just get yourself a paid afternoon off work. How many do though? Regards SS
  6. Have a good day, a fellow SS. Enjoy yourself :drink: Regards SS
  7. Well Done Sounder and Danny. My personal record for one night is 5 which I shot in the early part of this year. I will find out just how many foxes im likely to have here when the Silage and Crops are cut. Silage should be the end of this week so the foxes will have to keep their eyes peeled for a strange shape in camouflage. Good Going once again. Regards SS
  8. It seems the Majority of us are in love with the 70's and 's comedy Must admit they are my favourite decades too. Keep Going SS
  9. I have just been watching Morecambe and Wise, after a few seconds I was completely and hopelessly laughing until my sides were splitting. Andrew Preview and the Grieg Piano Concerto  What are your favourite Comedies? My Top Three would be; Morecambe and Wise Yes, Prime Minister and; Dad's Army Every one of them makes me roll over laughing whenever I watch them, they are they sort of Television which is timeless. Regards SS
  10. at what yardage would you normaly crank it up 200+ then it goes to x8. SS
  11. Nice to see them out and enjoying themselves Lass. Plenty of room for it up there anyhow. You got some great shots there. Regards SS
  12. I normally keep mine on x6 through a x50 scope, as stated a low magnification will draw in the light better. I keep mine on x6 for everything pretty much as I am used to it, I may crank it up for a particularly long shot off the Bi-Pod. Regards SS
  13. Mine were a friend who is a teacher and my Head Keeper. You should be able to use anyone who is of reputable standing as a referee. Does this man hold an SGC? As long as you know him well and vice versa you should be fine, unlike an SGC, there is no reference on the application as to who can be a referee. On an SGC form it asks for a Civil Servant, MP, Teacher etc, not so on an FAC form. I think he should be fine, does he own a business? Regards SS
  14. Good going yet again Sounder. Its good to leave the rifle for a bit now and again and using the old shotty. Good Shooting Regards SS
  15. Have a good Day Millet. Im sure there will be a few :drink: going down you. Regards SS
  16. You need an FAC and it conditioned as such Regards SS
  17. Gents, we're talking shotguns now........NOT rifles. Quite Right Mack. I would say that it matters little the age or build of the child. A .410 with light shells or an air gun is not going to kick much. I think it depends more on the mental age of child and whether they are old enough to handle a gun properly. And also, whether you want a child to see its first Kill too young. Just my thoughts. Regards SS
  18. Nice shooting there Craig, The .22-250 is a deadly fox round, what ammo are you putting through that? Great Shooting, keep it up. Regards SS
  19. Twin Town was made here. Always loads of ads being made here and being Wales' second city, always on the news. Also, the Gower Peninsula is used in films now and again, tourist boards mostly. Regards SS
  20. The people behind these medals are the only ones who could have told us the true story of how they received them. And then there is the stark reality, So many of them did not make it that far to be able to tell us. A few more inches higher, I may not be here, makes you consider. Regards SS
  21. I have been delving into my family history recently and decided to start by going to see people still alive and who can give me some of the information I would like. Obvious start was my Maternal Grandmother. She was telling me of her fathers War record in the 8th Army in Africa and Italy, he was a Battery Sergeant Major. Then she went and found some extraordinary items I had never been shown before. His medals, Tankard and Dog Tags. Boy was I like a schoolkid in the British Museum. He had the service medals as usual, then the Oak Leaf, meaning he was Mentioned in Despatche
  22. Well done Toma. The little 1.1gram bullet does its job when put in the right place, I have a shot a few with my CZ 452 again with Winchester Supreme Ballistics, best round I have found too. Good Shooting, Keep it up. Regards SS
